All of them turned in my direction. I cleared my throat and put on a blank expression, crossing my arms. For a moment, I think I saw a hint of a smile on Techno's face when he looked at me.

"Carry on," I said quickly. When I looked back to the others, I saw that Tommy's invisibility had run out. His hands were clenched into fists at his sides and he looked really upset.

"Okay, but honestly," Techno continued, "this isn't even part of L'Manburg! This is—this is...oh I don't actually know..."

"Dream Smp," I answered.

"Ah. Thank you, (Y/n)." Techno nodded his head.

"Tubbo, just give me the disc." Dream looked towards the President expectantly.

"I-" the boy hesitated. He turned towards the ender chest, taking a deep breath. After a moment, he slowly reached out and lifted the top.

"Woah, stop! Stop it!" Tommy yelled. He hurriedly ran forward and pushed Tubbo away from the chest. The brunet stumbled back a few steps in surprise. "What the fu—you're not just going to give him the disc, are you?!"

"You've literally proven time and time again that you can't be trusted!" Tubbo exclaimed in response.

"What?" Tommy's voice went quiet. I could see the hurt expression on his face. "No, no, no. You had to exile me—don't give him the disc—as soon as we take down...we'll be fine. We'll be back."

Tubbo showed no sign of emotion. "I don't think that's an option anymore."

Tommy's eyes dropped to his feet. He sighed and then looked back up at the brunet. "Tubbo, you spend all this time—you do all these speeches talking about how I was a bad friend," he said, "how I was the one being reckless. But you won't even stick up for me right at my lowest point."

There was a pain in Tommy's voice that I had not heard before. "Do you even know what he did to me in exile, Tubbo? You don't."

"No! I thought you died!" Tubbo responded in exasperation.

"But you didn't come and see me. And you still don't care I'm here," Tommy said harshly, "you know what? You're the shit friend, Tubbo."

I found myself stepping forward to say something, but a hand grabbed my arm and pulled me back. I turned around to snap at Big Q to mind his own fucking beeswax, but instead I found myself staring into Ranboo's red and green eyes. He released my arm and silently shook his head at me.

"Yeah, well at least—this has your name written all over it!" Tubbo sounded angrier now as he took a step forward and pointed in the blonde's direction.

"It wasn't me!" Tommy exploded.

"You're literally acting just like you acted when you burned down George's House!"

"Yeah, well, in my defense, that time was funny—"

I let out a slow, shaky breath to keep myself from laughing. I could see that Tubbo was holding back a smile as he tried to compose himself. "That is not a defense!" the brunet exclaimed.

"This wasn't me—this wasn't me!" Tommy shook his head with a slight grin. "I promise, okay, just listen to me. Seriously—seriously, man."

"Seriously?" Tubbo repeated. The two of them had gone back to being serious again.

"I don't need to prove myself to you. This wasn't me. Trust me. Jesus—for once in your life, Tubbo, trust me." Tommy motioned to himself as his voice grew louder and firmer.

"I did trust you," the brunet replied slowly, "once. The first time all of this happened. And I won't make the same mistake twice." Without looking back at the blonde, Tubbo reached for the chest again and opened the lid, lowering an arm inside.
