It was Easter in Ninjago City. And the weather was great. It was sunny and warm. Nya had decorated the island with Easter decorations. Outside the door was a little wooden Easter bunny. The still bare bushes where decorated with small plastic eggs hanging from the branches.

(Is that a German thing or do you do that too in your country? My mom always decorated bushes with them :3)

Kai always though it was unnecessary. He did also remember himself always decorating for Easter with his mother.

It was still early in the morning but little Alaya had decided that she wanted to wake up so she wouldn't miss the Easter bunny. Excited she stood up and walked into her parents room. "Daddy?" she whispered. Trying not to wake up her mother. The little 4 year old knew waking up her mother was a horrible mistake.

"Daddy?" she whispered again. This time stepping closer to the bed. Eventually she made her way over to her dad. She looked at the sleeping and drooling master of lightning.

This time she pocked him. She knew he was very ticklish so she simply pocked him lightly a few times into his side. Jay woke up and looked at his daughter. "Wh-Alaya? Why you up? It's 5 a.m" he muttered. "Uncle Kai told me the Easter bunny comes early in the morning. I wanted to see him" she explained to her father. "that's not how... Fine. Go wake up uncle Kai then. He should look with you. He is waaaayyy better then me in hunting down the Easter bunny" Jay told her and laid his head back down.

Alaya looked at her father for a few seconds then left the room quietly. The little 4 year old did as her father said and made her way over to her uncles room. Happily hopping like a bunny.

She opened the door and entered the bedroom. Quietly walking over to her uncle. Who was snorring away in his bed. Alaya giggled quietly. Then she took his hand. "Wake up" she said lightly pulling on his hand. The master of Fire woke up and looked at his niece. "Alaya? Why u up?" he asked yawning. "You told me the Easter bunny-" she started. Kai remembered already and rubbed his eyes: "yes I remember... And you woke me up to see if he was here? At 5 a.m?" he asked her tired. Alaya nodded and climped up his bed. "Can we check if he was here already?" she asked excited.

Kai looked down at her. He sighed. "fine. We can go check. We put the carrot outside yesterday you remember?" he asked her while he picked her up to stand up. "yes" - "well if he ate it he was here. If not we have to wait" he explained and walked towards the front door with her. Alaya couldn't hide her excitement.

When they opened the door they looked at the step and saw only a little bit of carrot was left. "LOOOOK" Alaya yelled excited. "shh yes. He was here already" he answered. "he probably hid a lot of presents" Kai muttered. Not thinking about who he was talking to. Alayas eyes got wide when she heard the magical word 'presents'.

"we have to wait tho" he quickly said when he noticed hsi niece wanting to search already. "Whhhyyy" wailed Alaya. "because we have to wait for your brother to wake up and we have breakfast with grandma and grandpa" Kai explained. Alaya sighed. "Can I at least have my tablet?" she asked with puppy eyes. The tired master of Fire looked down at his niece and nodded. "you can. Condition is you have to be quiet and in my room until your dad is awake... Or your brother" he told her and got her tablet.

After they went into Kais room. The brown haired laid back down in bed to continue to sleep while his niece quietly played with her tablet.

Two hours later her father had woken up. Jay was someone who wanted to watch his cartoons and since his daughter loved cartoons too she always joined him. Kai had texted Jay before he went back to sleep that Alaya was with him. So the blue ninja went to check up on her and to let her know he was awake.

The 4 year old nodded and left the room with her father to go watch cartoons together. "The Easter bunny was already here" she informed her father as they cuddled on the couch watching cartoons.

"Yeah your uncle told me that you two already checked" Jay said. Then he took a sip from his coffee.

Slowly the quiet island became less and less quiet the more people woke up. Next one up was Zane. The Nindroid was preparing breakfast. Jay had gotten Bryan from his crib and gave him a bottle with chocolate milk. The master of lightning was cuddling with his children and watching cartoons.

And slowly all the ninja had woken up. The breakfast table was chaotic as always. Bryan wanting to constantly throw around his food. Alaya wanting everyone to hurry. Kai not looking up from his phone. Sleepy Nya trying to get her son to eat while still waking up. Jay and Lloyd talking about cartoons and Cole and Zane eating quietly.

After breakfast everyone started to get ready for their guests to arrive. Kai and Nya's parents wanted to join them this Easter. Happily wanting to see their grand children searching for presents and eggs.

Alaya stood at the window next to the front door waiting for her uncle to fly up with her grandparents. Excitement was all she could feel. Finally she saw the red dragon flying towards them. "THEY ARE COMMING" she yelled excited through the whole Tempel.

Then it was time. Once her grandparents entered the Tempel it was time to search. Finally the time Alaya had been looking forward to.

Nya was helping Bryan find stuff while his sister went ham. She found all the eggs. Well one of them her brother found and threw thinking it was a ball.

Alaya found all her presents, candy and eggs. Happily looking at her loot she started playing with her new toys and eating a little bit of candy.

"This easter was great" Jay said hugging his wife. "see how happy she looks" he smiled and kissed her. "Happy Easter my Easter bunny" he whispered in her ear....

Happy Easter everyone! 🐇🐰💕🐣
