It's been a year, give or take a few months, and Annabeth still hasn't gotten any news on the Moonlark quest. She was about to walk to Chiron to admit her defeat, when Travis Stoll popped up in front of her.

When Annabeth and Percy greeted Chiron in the Big House, they expected to have news on the prophecy. Boy, were they wrong.
"So have you found anything on the Moonlark?" Annabeth asked hopefully.
"Um...no. I just wanted to tell you that you'll be able to go to school. We enforced safety barriers for monsters around Goode High School."
"Oh," Annabeth said, disappointed, "That's okay, I guess."
"What do you mean, 'okay'? This is amazing! We'll be going to school together!" Percy cut in.
"Yeah," Annabeth replied, cheering up, "I look forward to it, Seawead Brain."
