Aaliyah Bella Nott was raised in a pure blood Slytherin household. Her parents were Bella Nott and Theodore Nott and she had a brother, Theodore, obviously named after her father. Aaliyah was raised by her father with the belief that pure bloods are better than everyone else. But if she was to be honest, she wouldn't agree with her learnings. Her brother Theodore does, but he's much easier for their father to have an infleunce on than Aaliyah. After all, Aaliyah is eleven now and Theodore still only nine, so he still has time to learn that blood does not really change anything about a person.
Today is the thirty first of August meaning that tomorrow is Aaliyahs first day of Hogwarts and she could not be more excited. She can't wait to start making new friends and interacting with people who are the same as her. And maybe even some girls. The only girls who are around most of the time are Narcissa Malfoy and her mother. Aaliyah doesn't get to spend time with many other girls her age seeing as her familys circle is small and many of them have sons and not daughters.
Narcissa Malfoy is one person that Aaliyah feels she can always count on. And she loves her so much. And her son, Draco, he's been Aaliyahs best friend since the day he was born. He's like a second little brother to her. She wouldn't have it any other way, he's genuinely the nicest person she knows, and he refers to her as his sister at any chance he gets. He's so cute.
It's funny because Aaliyah does look quite like Draco, honestly, she looks nothing like Theodore. But thats just because he got their fathers dark hair and eyes and she got their mothers blonde hair and green eyes. People who dont know them that well, especially when they were younger always though that Draco and Aaliyah were siblings and not Aaliyah and Theodore. When Theodore was about five or six Aaliyah noticed that he was getting annoyed and upset by people not realising that Aaliyah was his sister and not Dracos. When Aaliyah noticed this she went about for about a month telling everyone that she was Theodores brother and not Dracos.
The three of them have been attatched at the hip since the two boys were born, none of them can really rememeber their life without the other two. The three had one of the strongest bonds it was possible to have.
Or so they thought.
"I don't want you to go Liyah" Draco whinged as the three sat in Aaliyahs room playing a game of exploding snap. Theodore nodded in agreement and Aaliyah huffed.
"Boys you know why I have to go. Its hogwarts. We've all been looking forward to going since we heard about the place" she tried to reason with them but the two nine year old were adamant about keeping their best friend around for another while.
"That was before we found you have to go now and we don't get to go until two years time" Theo said pulling his sister in closer to him and holding her so tight she couldnt get out of his grip.
"Theo please" she begged with tears in her eyes. "You know I would stay if I could. But I have to go now. Please don't make this so hard on me boys" she said as the two looked at her and nodded solemly.
The next day was Aaliyahs first day going to Hogwarts. She was beyond excited but she was also scared. Scared for many reasons. She would be in a new place with nobody she knew until Christmas. She would be leaving Draco and Theo for months, something she has never done before. She was leaving Theodore alone in the house with her parents who constantly fought, she wouldn't be there to hold him when he was crying in the middle of the night at the yelling. And she was scared she wouldn't be sorted into Slytherin. What would her parents think if she wasnt?
Aaliyah said goodbye to her mother who promised to write as often as possible. She also hugged Draco and Theodore goodbye so tight ghat she felt she could have lifted them and taken them with her. She hated this, she hated goodbyes. But at least she got to see them all in a few months for Christmas.
