Fool Me Once (Book One) - Fred Weasley

2. Reunited ***

First year seemed to fly by for the group and before anyone knew it. There summer holidays were upon them.

Out-of yhe group there was definitely different sections. Lee and George were extremely close, as were Fred and Aaliyah but also Aaliyah and Riviera. Thats probably what happens when they are the only two girls in a group. They tend to gravitate towards each other as they would be able to talk to each other about things they would never discuss with the boys. Such as the boys themselves.

By the end if first year, there was a definite feeling that Aaliyah and Fred were the closest out of the group. Seeing as Aaliyah felt safe with Fred after her panic attacks and anxiety episodes the two became attatched at the hip and were each others confidant.

In the begginging this made George slightly jealous. He had always been the one that Fred went to for everything. He had always been the one person that Fred leaned on, and vice versa. But now Fred had someone else. Not that Fred would ever try to replace George ever in his life time, he couldn't, he was his twin, his other half. It would be next to impossible. George was just so not used to Fred having someone else that it upset him slightly.

Well it did, until Lee noticed a change in George's behaviour and started to spend more time with him. The two grew close and were hardly ever seen without the other. And it made Fred feel better about spending so much time with Aaliyah now that George had a good friend of his own to confide in. The three boys became some what of a notorious trio inside the walls of the school, much to the teachers and Percy Weasleys dismay.

The end of the year came far too quickly for all of the group. They didn't want to say goodbye for the next two months. Oh how much could change in that time.

Fred was worried about Aaliyah and her home life. But she told him that she would be spending all her time with her brother and Draco and that she would hardly ever see her father. Not that she saw much of him anyway. Most of the time she just heard him yelling.

Getting off the platform Aaliyah spitter her mother, Theo and Draco standing waiting for her and she waved to the with a huge smile on her face.

"Thats them" she called to the group standing behind her and she went around hugging everyone goodbye. Saving Fred for last so she could hug him for longer. He was definitely her best friend.

"Promise to write me" he said intonher hair as she held onto him, hugging him almost for dear life.

"I will but you have to write back Freddie" she said with a giggled remembering how his owl got lost on the way to her Manor over Christmas so she never got to see the letter he wrote for her.

"Dont blame me, blame Erroll. Bugger always gets lost" he chuckled finally letring go of the shorter girl after what seemed like both forever and five seconds.

"See you guys later" she called out to the twins, Lee, Riviera and David waving at them as she left.

"See you in September Liyah" They called back.

That was bittersweet to me. But on home she went, she couldnt wait to see Draco and Theodore again, she hasnt seen them since Christmas. She ran straight towards them and attacked the two boys into a group hug as the laughed at her. "I've miss you both so much" she said with some tears in her eyes as she pulled out of the hug.

"Dont worry Liyah" Draco told her taking one of her hands in his as Theo took the other and her mother grabbed the truck she had thrown out of her way as she hugged the two boys.

"We are going to have the best summer before you have to go back to hogwarts" Theo told her and she gripped his hand tighter, hoping the three could stay this close for ever.

When Aaliyah, Theodore and Belle (their mum) got home everything was very quiet. They had gone to Malfoy Manor for dinner and it was lovely. Aaliyah had really missed Narcissa, after all she is like a second mother to the girl. And even though she and Lucius dont really get on, they were very civil with one another. When they returned home there was no sign of Theodore Sr (their dad) anywhere.

'Wheres dad?' Aaliyah asked Theo. He wasnt sure, he said he hasn't seen him in a few days. Weird.

The summer continued like that. Aaliyah spent her time writing letters to her friends but never sending them, spending time with Draco and Theodore, wondering where her dad had disappeared to, and going shopping with Belle and Narcissa.

By the time September the first rolled around Aaliyah was both extremely excited to go back to school, and extremely sad to leave Theodore and her mother, especially after what happened with her father in the last two weeks. All in all Aaliyah was delighted to be back. She had missed all her friends a lot, a certain red head more than must though.

"FREDDIE, GEORGIE" Aaliyah yelled as loud as she could when she saw the twins. She started to run towards them and her mother laughed behind her at her daughters excitement.

George yelled "AALIYAH" and ran over and picked her up off the ground and spun her in a circle. Fred walked over to her and looked at her sadly. "It's been ages, you never wrote" Fred said giving her a hug just like his brother he held her tighter than his twin though. Its as though Fred was able to tell there was something off with Aaliyah with out her having to even say anything.

"I know I'm sorry, it's been a hard summer. A lot has happened. But is it okay if we talk on the train. Alone maybe?" She whispered into his chest as he hugged her tighter and he nodded in agreement and rubbed his hand up and down her back before finally letting her of the hug and letting her say good bye to her mother and brother.

When the train took off Fred and aaliyah found another compartment away from their friends where they could talk for a few moments. Although Fred was only twelve years old. He never judged Aaliyah for what she told him. He always just listened and tried to give the best advice he could. And Aaliyah knew that every secret she told Fred would remain secret and vice versa. She told him all about how her dad left them. Left their family, because he was having an affair, she began to cry into Fred's shoulder and the Fred just hugged her close to him giving her hugs and kisses on the forehead and telling her that everything is going to be okay.

And it would be, eventaully.

"Aaliyah were nearly at the station" Fred whispered into the sleeping girls hair as she stirred on his lap. "Freddie I don't want to get up" she groaned as he picked her up and placed her sitting on his lap, pulling her head into his shoulder as he rubbed her back.

"You have to get up though. Because we have to change and I dont want to miss the carriages. I haven't eaten anything since this morning and I'm hungry" Fred pleaded with the girl who giggled standing up and stretching. Once she was finsihed stretching and yawning she looked at Fred and pointed to her bag that was up in the iver head storage. Somewhere she would never be able to reach on her own.

"We need to feed you some of that muggle plant stuff. Whats it called again?" He asked her with a chuckle grabbing her bag and handing it to her so she could get changed jnto her robes in the bathroom.

"Miracle grow" she replied rolling her eyes and opening the compartment door only to be met by Riviera who must have been on her way into the bathroom aswell.

"OH MY GODRIC. HOW ARE YOU?" Riviera squealed pulling Aaliyah into a hug as she jumped up and down excitedly, clearly happy to have her best friend around again.

"I'm good Riv don't worry. Just needed to talk to Freddie about something" she replied and Riviera grabbed her hand pulling her into the bathroom to get changed.

About an hour later, their small group was sitting chatting happily amongst themselves and laughing at some of Fred and George's jokes.

Aaliyah was sat across from Fred and beside Riviera and Lee. The latter of which was telling her stories about how he visited his muggle cousins over the holidays.

Aaliyah smiled as she looked at the small group she was a part of. This is what happiness is. This is what she needs in her life and she's not letting go of her happiness anytime soon.
