34. Christmas Eve

The next week went by so fast. The students at Hogwarts had a few end of term exams and yesterday, the majority of the first, second and third years returned home. Some of them, like Ginny and Astoria stayed because they would be going to the ball, but most werent so they went home. 

Fred, Lee, George and Aaliyah decided that they would do their presents tonight in the court yard instead of tomorrow morning. Aaliyah thought it was a pretty good idea because it means that she could have a sleep in tomorrow before she had to get ready for the ball, both of which Aaliyah was extremenly looking forward to. 

Aaliyah had decided that they should invite the whole friend group, plus Draco and his friends, the golden trio and Ginny, to open presents. It was going to be a huge affair. With Aaliyah, Fred, George, Lee, Angelina, Alicia, Amelia, Katie, David, Riviera, Draco, Astoria, Blaise, Pansy, Harry, Ron, Hermoine and Ginny there was alot of people, and a lot ot gifts to be exchanged.

After grabbing the presents from her room and throwing them into her bag, Aaliyah headed down to the common room to meet Fred. 'Hello princess' he greeted her, pulling her into a small hug. 'Redy for presents?' Aaliyah asked him, pulling out of the hug and taking his hand to lead him down the stairs. 'Always' he replied with a chuckle. 

The pair went out to the courtyard and met everyone else. Funnily enough, their entire friend group is mostly with each other, so with the exeption of Katie and Amelia, the golden Trio and Ginny, the whole group is made up of couples. 

'Liyah darling' Draco greeted Aaliyah standing up to pull her into a hug. 'Took you long enough' Aaliyah laughed. 'I was getting the presents Dray, but if you would rather not have yours I could keep it' she told the younger boy with a chuckle. 'No, no its fine. Sit down' Draco told her, gesturing to an empty spot between him and Astoria and Lee and George. 

When Aaliyah sat down, the group decided that the presents should be given out oldest to youngest, meaning that Angelina had to go first and Astoria went last. 

Aaliyah got an extreme amount of presents this year. Most of them she wasnt expecting to get if she were to be honest, especially off Harry, Ron and Hermoine. She is really so glad that she bought them something small after Fred decided that they should invite them. 

Aaliyah got a new quill and ink pot off Draco, a flowered hair pin of Astoria that she said she could wear to the ball, a pair of running shoes off George and Lee that she had been admiring in shop a few weeks beforehand, Angelina and Alicia got her a book about contraceptive spells that they thought was hilarious, David and Rivera bought her a new set of books to read, Amelia bought her a new dress, Katie got her a few new hair bands, Pansy and Blaise bought her another book, a charms one, Ginny got her a collection of muggle CD's that she liked to listen to, Hermoine got her a diary, and Harry and Ron bought her a seletion of sweets from Honeydukes. She really was delighted with all her presents. 

Fred looked at Aaliyah sadly and told her that he left her gift in his room and he would go and get it. 'No Bear' Aaliyah said dragging him back down to sit beside her, 'its okay. You can just give it to me when we get back okay?' He nodded and Aaliyah knew he was upset he forgot it, but he also knew that she wanted him here with her.

Finally, when it was her time to hand out the gifts Aaliyah done it as fast as humanly possible, really excited to see the looks on everyones faces when they opened their gifts. For Draco, Blaise, George, Lee and David she bought them Dog Tags with their names and their favourite saying on them. The boys thought they were so cool and couldnt thank her enough. For the girls she got each of them a necklace with their birth stone. She even managed to pick one up for Hermoine aswell on such short notice. When Harry and Ron opened their presents from Aaliyah, the three of them began laughing. She had gotten the both of them huge bags of sweets from Honeydukes aswell, not knowing what else the boys would like.
