Fool Me Once (Book One) - Fred Weasley

31. The First Task

'Well done dragon!' Fred roared as the dragon took off following Harry who was flying off on his broom. 'Well done?' Aaliyah questioned with a chuckle. 'What did it do well? It nearly killed all of us'

Fred put his arm around Aaliyahs shoulder and hugged her close. 'That's exactly what he done well princess' he said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. 'If he would have killed us, he wouldn't have done a good job.' He nodded in conclusion and Aaliyah just started to laugh uncontrollably. Honestly, it made absolutely no sense, but if Fred was happy, she was happy.

After a few minutes Harry flew back by us and got his egg. Everyone cheered and slowly started making their way back to the school. 'Hey princess?' Fred questioned just as we exited the stands. 'I've got a surprise for you' he announced with a huge smile on his face.

'Bear' Aaliyah stated shaking her head. 'I don't have anything for you. What did you even get me?'  Fred shook his head and continued to ignore Aaliyahs questions as he led her towards the Forbidden Forest. Aaliyah was just about to ask him once again when they were going when she heard a shout from just behind her.

'Squeak' someone yelled. Aaliyah immediately ran towards the voice, yelling 'Scout? Scout, is that you? Where the hell are you, Charles?' Suddenly she felt a strong pair of arms grab her around her waist and pull her into a hug.

Aaliyah hugged him back as tightly as she could. 'I've missed you Scout.' Aaliyah said into his chest, her eyes slightly welling with tears as she pulled back to look up at the face of one of her favourite people on the planet. 'I know Squeak I know. But I'm here now.' Out of all of Fred's older brothers, Charlie was always the one that Aaliyah got on the best with. She thinls it was their shared love of magical creatures. Especially dragons. Aaliyah stayed in Charlie's arms for what felt like ages, before a voice spoke behind her and caused Charlie to pull away from her completely.

'Oi, does your own brother not even get a hug.' Fred was standing behind Aaliyah when she turned around. He had his arms crossed and a fake scowl on his face. 'Course you do Freddie.' said Charlie, walking over to his brother and pulling him into an embrace. 'Been keeping this one safe for me?' he asked pulling away. 'Always' Fred answered walking over to Aaliyah to put his arms around her shoulders, crossing them over and letting his chin rest on her head.

'When did this happen?' Charlie asked, clearly very confused. 'Last I was speaking to Fred, he was a drunken mess and you two had broken up, actually I think you were with Pucey?' he questioned, a look of complete confusion on his face.

'Oh Scout' aaliyah said, tapping freds arms lightly so he could let to of herr slightly before walking over to Charlie and linking her arm with his while Fred's arm wrapped protectively around her shoulders. 'You have so much to catch up on.' Fred nodded as the trio began to walk towards Fred and Aaliyahs spot at the Black Lake.

When the three had sat down and got comfortable, Fred and Aaliyah told Charlie everything. And they meant everything.

Their first break up, Aaliyah being petrified, Fred's smoking, his drinking, the weed, Aaliyah getting with Pucey,  the Amortentia, Aaliyah breaking up with Pucey, Aaliyah and Fred getting back together, the drugs, Fred's overdose, his time in hospital, his recovery, Aaliyah finding out she was pregnant, the miscarriage. Everything.

By the time that they had finished Charlie was on the verge of tears. Aaliyah quickly crawled the short distance between them, and embraced Charlie in a hug. Fred following closely behind her, also embracing his older brother.

'You're so young' is all he said. 'This is too much for ye being so young' he then started crying, and Aaliyah did too. She realised that he was right. The young couple had lived through an amazing amount of stuff for only being sixteen and a half years old.
