30. The Letters

Aaliyah spent the majority of my time over the next two weeks splitting her time between visits to Poppy, sitting in the common room with George, Lee and Riviera, spending time doing just about anything with Fred and going for walks with Draco. 

Still these are the only people who knew anything about the pregnancy. Except Mrs Weasley of course. 

Aaliyah still doesnt really like her if she was to be honest. She just dont like fighting with her, especially seeing as she is Freds mum. But all those things Molly said to Aaliyah in the hospital wing, both when Fred was in a coma and when he was just awake, hurt her in so many ways. It hurt her too much for Aaliyah to just forgive her. But Aaliyah did do my best to put on a nice face and tolerate the woman when she was around. 

Molly had sent Aaliyah and Fred a letter when she found out about Angel, it made Fred cry thinking that his mother didnt care enough to even show up at the school when they lost Angel. Aaliyah told him that it would all be okay, and that he would be okay because he had her, and she would be okay because she had Fred.

(Flashback to when Aaliyah and Fred got the letter from Molly. About three days after Angel passed)

'Aaliyah? You there?' Lees voice snapped Aaliyah out of her trance and she looked at him and nodded slightly. 

'I said you have a letter, would you like to open it. Its addressed to you and Fred but it came to me at breakfast because nobody else was down there.' Lee said holding a folded sheet of paper in his hand that Aaliyah quickly recognised as a letter.

'Yeah its okay. Thank you Lee.' Aaliyah said with a forced smile as she took the letter off him and opened it. 'You can stay if you like' Aaliyah told him, pushing over in the bed slightly to make more room. 

'If your sure'. Lee nodded and he climbed into the bed beside her. He wrapped his arm around Aaliyahs shoulder and let her rest her head on his chest. 

'Its from Molly' Aaliyah told him with pursed lips when she had finished reading the letter. She tilted it up towards him, allowing him to read it too. 

'She isnt going to come. I think Fred really wants her to come Lee, you know how he is. He will never admit it, but he really needs her.' Aaliyah said furrowing his eyebrows as he looked at the letter sent by her boyfriends mother.

'Its okay Aaliyah' Lee told her, now stroking her hair and down her back. Aaliyah started to cry, and Lee shifted slightly so that he could look at her face. 

'Whats up pumpkin?' he asked her bus she just shook her head and cried harder. 'Its all my fault' Aaliyah told him. And Lees face fell at the statement.

'Liyah, none of this is your fault. None of it I promise you. Nothing to do with Angel-'

'No noodles, Im n- not talking about A- angel. Im t- talking about M- molly. She doesnt want to come to F- fred because she h- hates me' Aaliyah whimpered as she cried into his shoulder. 

'Oh Liyah, honey no. No she doesnt hate you. I know that woman as long as I know the twins and I dont think she is able to hate anyone. And I promise you that she loves you okay. She loves you and she loves Fred' 

'Lee you, you d-didnt hear her in the hospital w- wing. She said i t- tricked Fred into g- getting me p- pregnant. She hates me Lee she really d- does.'

With that Aaliyah wiped her eyes and cuddled into Lees shoulder. Not wanting to talk about it anymore. Lee quickly got the message and he stopped talking and resumed rubbing Aaliyahs back soothingly. Aaliyah fell asleep after a few minutes. It was just so comfortable in Lees arms. No wonder George wants to fall asleep like this every night.
