28. I'm Sorry

It is now the thirteenth of November. Exactly two weeks since Aaliyah and Fred had lost their baby. Since Aaliyah had lost her baby.

Everyone has been so understanding of what she am going through. Most of the teachers have told her that she doesnt have to do homework if it all gets too much for her to handle. Aaliyah and Fred can also leave classes if they feel unwell or if either of them think they need to be sick or if they need to just sleep. 

Fred has been so caring as well over the last few weeks. He has done nothing except love Aaliyah and show her that he isn't angry that she lost Angel. Not that Fred could ever blame Aaliyah for what happened. He could never blame her. It wasnt even something that had crossed his mind. But it had crossed Aaliyahs, she kept wondering what she had done wrong, why Merlin had taken her baby from her, would Angel still be okay if she had done something differently. She wasn't sure, and Fred hated seeing her like that, so he just showed her as much as he couldn't that he loved and appreciated her, hoping that she would soon see it wasn't her fault.

It continuously breaks the young couples hearts to know that they won't get to know Angel, but they know that he is looking down on them from above. And he is going to keep an eye on Aaliyah and Fred forever.

Aaliyah has taken to spending alot of time on her own. Crying most of the time. Fred hates leaving her alone but he knows that she just needs space and time and he is nothing but eager to give her whatever she wants, so she can heal.

Fred has also started to go to Poppy twice a week now. Aaliyah thinks that's what's helping him to cope with the loss. He can talk to Poppy about how he feels. Even if he feels that he can't talk to Aaliyah, he knows he can, but sometimes she thinks it might be easier for him to talk to someone else. So she doesnt force him to talk, just as he doesn't force her to talk.

Seeing as Aaliyah is spending more time in her own room she is back spending time with Riviera. The pair haven't really been spending too much time together lately as Aaliyah has been with Fred most of the time, helping with his recovery. But now, Riviera doesn't want to leave Aaliyahs side. 

Aaliyah told Riviera that she was pregnant the day after she lost Angel and Aaliyah was so sorry that she hadn't told her before then. It just made sense not to tell too many people.

(Flashback to Halloween morning when Aaliyah was in hospital.)

'Heya babes' Riviera greeted Aaliyah with a hug. 'And what has you in hear Liyah? What happened? George just told me it would be better if I heard it from you.'

Aaliyah looked at Riviera with tears in her eyes and smiled weakly.

'I- I had a m-miscarriage Riv, I was p-pregnant and I l-lost the b-baby last night' when Aaliyahsaid it she started crying. It was the first time that she had said them words out loud. She hadnt said them words out loud to anyone yet. Not even Fred. And when it came to telling Lee and George, Fred told them. He knew Aaliyah couldnt. He knew that it would hurt her too much to tell them what happened. 

That it was her fault. That she lost their baby. Our poor Angel. 

Riviera looked at Aaliyah and started crying. Then she pulled her closer so that Aaliyahs head could rest on her stomach, while Riviera held the back of her head and rubbed her back. 

'Its all going to be okay Liyah. Its okay. Ive got you' hearing them words made Aaliyah break even more. She wished so hard that she told Riviera. She wished that she had told her, so much sooner.

'Aaliyah baby, you awake?' Aaliyah sat up in the bed and stretched, Fred was lying in the bed beside her, waiting for her to say something.
