Fool Me Once (Book One) - Fred Weasley

3. Christmas at the Weasleys ***

When everyone got settled into school the group gathered in Fred and George's dorm for a few party games and a good catch up before school started the following morning.

Aaliyah decided not to tell the rest of the group what happened with her parents, instead sticking to telling them funny stories about her and Theo and Draco. Everyone laughed but only fredbcoukd tell she was holding something back. He would have been worried only for he knew exactly what was wrong with her and what she wasnt talking about.

A few weeks into term and everything seemed to be going smoothly. Aaliyah and Riviera had remained as close as ever. George and Lee were continuing to get even closer as if that was even possibly. David and Riviera seemed to be having some sort of weird relationship going on between them. George and Fred continued to make the whole group, and the majority of the school, laugh with their jokes and pranks.

And aaliyah and Fred continued to get closer. She slept a lot of nights in his bed because of the nightmares she was having. She didnt want to wake any of the girls and Fred was always so good at calming her panic attacks that she assumed he could do the same for her nightmares. She wasn't wrong, the way he held her and told her everything was going to be okay made her feel so safe and secure.

Even at twelve years of age she knew she was in love with Fred, she just couldn't say anything because she was sure he didn't feel the same.

About a week before Christmas George and Fred came running up to aaliyah and tackled her into a hug. "Liyah mum said yes" George shouted as aaliyah looked at him in confusion.

"She said yes to what captain?" She asked sceptically as Fred looked at her with the hugest smile on his face. "You can come home with us for Christmas princess" he said and she smiledbup at him but then looked confused.

"Freddie, why did you do that? Why did you ask her? I would have been fine on my own" she said and the twins pulled her into another hug.

The next week flew by and Aaliyah, Fred and George were beginning to get very excited for the holidays. Aaliyah was a bit apprehensive about going to the twins house for Christmas. As they piled onto the train she sat beside Fred and laid her head on his shoulder.

"Freddie, whats going to happen when we get there?" She asked with small bitnof concern evident in her voice.

"Well I'm assuming that mum is going to look straight at you and throw you out of the house." Aaliyah looked at Fred with a scared expression on her face. "Godric I'm joking Aaliyah. If your a friend of mine and Georges mum will love you."

"How can you be sure though Freddie. My family hates yours, what happens if your mum hates me because of that?" Fred shook his head and chuckled.

"Princess, dont worry your little head about it. She doesnt care about that stuff. Trust me okay?" He said pulling her closer jnto his side so she could rest. He knew she always got sleepy when travelling. Something he did honestly find truly adorable.

"Okay Freddie Bear, I trust you" she said letting herself get comfortable and fall asleep in Fred's arms.

Aaliyah got a lot of presents that year. Her mother sent her some galleons so she could buy myself something nice. She debated maybe buying a new broom stick, although she would never try out for the team. She did enjoy racing around the quiddich pitch with the twins, Riviera and David as Lee commentated what they were doing. She loved it even more after the two boys were drafted onto the team as beaters.

Draco sent her a new necklace with a large emerald on it, emerald is her birthstone so she loved it so much. She sent him a book on the history of the wizarding world. Something that would seem like a terrible gift to give a ten years old, unless that ten year old happened to be Drafo Lucius Malfoy.

Mr and Mrs Weasley gifted Aaliyah a hand knitted jumper with an A on the front and a few homemade mince pies. "Merlin you didn't have to" Aaliyah exclaimed when she unwrapped the present on Christmas morning. "Of course I did. Why friend of yhe boys is welcome. Just glad these two don't completely hang around with other pranksters. You seem like a lively girl" Molly told Aaliyah who smiled and thanked the older woman. Arthur sat by his wifes side beaming at the girl, looking as though he had noticed something that he wasn't quite sure about. Aaliyah got Mr Weasley some muggle trinkets from the villiage which he loved. And she bought Mrs Weasley a new cook book, because she knew the older woman loved cooking. And if Aaliyah was to be completely honest, Molly really is the best cook that she knows.

Fred and George gave Aaliyah some chocolate frogs and some every flavour beans because they know that they are her favourite sweets and that she would love them. In return Aaliyah got the twins some sugar quills and bottles of butter beer which she knew the two loved. Although the gifts they got each other were small, the trio loved them all the same.

Even Charlie got her a book about dragons. The younger girl had grown on him in the last couple of months. He was glad that she had made friends with Fred and George because they seemed to all have a good influence on each other. He knows Aaliyah loves deagons so much from all the time they spent with together talking about the creatures over the last few months. Aaliyah felt bad that she didn't get Charlie a gift, but he told her it was alright because he want planning on getting her one either and that yhe book just caught his eye.

Aaliyah got really close with the twin's younger sister Ginny this Christmas. She started to become like a little sister to her over the last few weeks. With all the time yhe two spent in ginnys room together they had developed a special bond. None if her older brothers really had any female friends except Charlie and Tonks but she never really came around that much.

Ginny was happy to have another girl in the house stating that she needed to find more so that the girls could eventually out number the boys.

Aaliyah was sad to say goodbye to the majority of the weasleys qt the end of the Christmas break. She did however promise that she would come back for a day over the summer and that seemed to make both Ginny and Ronald very happy.

She was extremely excited that she was going back to hogwarts however. She missed Riviera and Lee mostly but also David and Angelina the latter of which had ended up becoming a part of the friend group just before they all left for Christmas break.
