20: Struck

Seven's Point of View.

A lifeless eyes stared back at me as I stood in front of the mirror. Today is Monday,my second week inside this school. And because our one-week school uniform-free week is over,I am wearing the Hillsdale's school uniform. A plain white long sleeve tucked in a black pleated short skirts,topped with a black blazer that has three buttons from the middle downwards.  A black neck tie with green diagonal strioes that has the Hillsdale's logo. The upper left side of the blazer's chest has two badges. One is in gold that indicates a Chief's logo and another one is in silver that says I'm part of the Top Five. I sighed in contentment as I look myself from the mirror. I fixed my neck tie before tying my dark silvery hair into a messy bun.

"Good morning,Sev!" masayang bati ni Lily nang maabutan ko itong nagsusuot ng knee socks sa maliit naming living room.

I dropped my bag on the sofa as I returned the greetings before going to our small kitchen to grab a bottle of water. I went back to the living room and there I found them four all ready to go to school. I smiled at them as I scanned their badges. All of them are wearing the same silver badge as mine. But the difference is that,my rank is written on my badge as Top One while them are their ranks.

"Good morning." bati ko sa kanila. All of them are looking so beautiful. Lily has the most girly vibes with her clips on her hair,while Xandra looks simple yet sophisticated with her thin headband on his head. While the two? They look dashing.

"Ang gaganda natin!" Lily squealed.

We decided to eat in the cafeteria since none of us cooked breakfast. I stayed late at night reading some documents Sir Vlad gave me yesterday when I returned togetger with my badge and uniform. That's why I took late to wake up,ganundin sila. Marahil pagod pa sa training at sinulit ang pahinga.

The cafeteria was obnoxious when we arrived. All of them are talking about something loudly as if not minding if there is some people inside the cafeteria. Napailing na lamang ako bago pumasok at sumunod naman ang mga kasama ko. Almost all of the tables are occupied that's why we're having a hard time looking for a spot. I gripped on my back tightly as I point an empty table near the glass wall of the cafeteria.

"Ladies,take the table at kami na ang bahala sa pagkain." sabi ni Justin na sinang-ayunan naman ni Alexander. I gave them my ID card to pay for our food but they refused.

Sumubsob agad ako sa table nang makaupo kami sa mesa na itinuro ko kanina. I feel drowsy this morning even though I took a cold shower to wake my system up. Laxus and I arrived at three thirty in the afternoon yesterday. I was about to take a rest when Sir Vlad called me in his office at ibinigay sa akin ang limang folders na naglalaman ng profiles ng lahat ng freshmen. Including their abilities,its strength and weaknesses maging ang improvement nito. Instead of reading the books Uncle gave me yesterday,I ended up reviewing the folders until late at night.

"Sev,ayos ka lang ba?"rinig kong tanong ni Xandra. Tumango naman ako pero nanatiling nakasubsob sa table. I want to take a nap pero sa ingay ng cafeteria ay imposibleng makatulog ako sa lagay na 'to. Kaya naman ay umayos na ako ng upo dahil baka magusot pa ang uniform ko.

"Sabi ni Justin kahapon,umalis ka raw."pagbubukas ni Lily ng topic.

Tumango ako. "Yeah. Bumisita ako sa Uncle ko since free day naman kahapon." sagot ko sa kan'ya.

"Eh,bakit ka mukhang pagod at kinulang sa tulog?"tanong pa nito.

"May nirereview lang ako kagabi. Hindi ko namalayan ang oras kaya napuyat ako."tamad kong sagot dito.

Maya-maya pa ay dumating na sina Justin at Alexander dala-dala ang trays na naglalaman ng pagkain. There was a pack of sliced fruits kaya kinuha ko iyon at agad na binuksan. They settled themselves on the vacant chairs at nagsimula na rin kaming kumain ng breakfast. As usual ay pumuno sila sa ingay ng cafeteria dahil nagkukuwentuhan tungkol sa naging training namin noong Sabado.
