"Baby, no. You're supposed to separate the egg white from the yolk," ani Seven kay Yzair habang inihalo-halo n'ya ang dry ingredients para sa cake na kanilang ibe-bake.
Yzair stopped from his track and scratched his forehead. He beated the whole eggs with a mixer that was supposed to be what Seven had said.
"They can be separated?" maang na tanong nito kay Seven.
She chuckled and set aside the bowl where she was mixing the dry ingredients.
"Yes. Let me teach you how."
"Oh, okay."
Seven reached for an egg and another bowl.
"You're supposed to crack it in the middle, separate the shells slowly for the egg white to slide down, transfer the yolk to the other half of the shell until the egg white is completely gone. Be careful not to pop the yolk," she instructed as she did what she was instructing.
"Wow. That looks so easy," he commented.
"Walk the talk, lover. Now, your turn."
Seven giggled as she watched Yzair grinned from her challenged.
Yzair took an egg and tried to do what Seven did. It's either the yolk pops, or he cracks the egg too much na naghahalo-halo na ang shell at laman nito.
He groaned in defeat. "Why is it so hard? It seems easy when you do it!"
Seven laughed at him. "You don't have the first timer's charm, I see."
Yzair only sighed.
"How about you sit there and just watch? Let me do this," Seven suggested. He guided the grumpy Yzair to the stool chair on the other side of the table and made him sit.
"Why do we have to bake a cake again?" Yzair asked.
"Take a guess."
Yzair watched Seven as she continued what the two of them were supposed to be doing.
Yzair didn't know what Seven really wanted when she pulled him from the blanket and ran straight to their house. Well, technically, the now own a place in one of the buildings inside the school. It was convenient for them since they both work for the school.
She said she wanted to bake a cake. He doesn't know how to make one pero sumabay na lamang s'ya. He thought it was easy as making a pancake but he saw unfamiliar things Seven put inside the mixture.
It didn't take too long after Seven pushed the cake batter inside the pre-heated oven.
"Let me do the cleaning here, babe. Take a rest first," he offered.
With hesitation, Seven looked at him and asked, "Are you sure?"
Yzair stood up and leaned towards her before planting a kiss on her forehead. Not minding the beads of sweats she has.
"Of course."
Seven flashed a warm smile. "Alright. I'll just be in the living room, alright?"
"Go on, love."
Yzair cannot contain the contentment he felt around Seven. He feels like he can conquer everything whenever he's with him. His heart jumps a beat whenever they're close to each other, whenever he hears her laugh, she smiles, and basically everything she does. Cliché, but love can really make you feel things you're not expecting at all to occur in you.
