48: Wanted

Seven's Point of View.

I woke up in a familiar large room that seemed to be stuck in a medieval times. A cream floral-patterned wallpaper and the aged furnitures welcomed my eyes. I roamed my sight around only to see the closes curtains that covered the huge glas window wherein I saw the wide lawn outside the last time I went here.

What am I doing here again?

I removed the thick comforter on top of me and went out of the bed. There was a pair of fur shoes prepared for me on the floor kaya walang pagdadalawang-isip kong isinuot 'yun at nagsimulang maglakad. Nahagip ng paningin ko ang kabuoan ko nang mapadaan ako sa malaking salamin malapit sa pintuan. I gasped when I saw what I was wearing. A knee-length gray dress beaded with black floral patterns around the waist. The sleeve is long yet it is see-through, associated with white ruffles in the end. What the heck? Kailan pa ako rito?

Pinihit ko ang knob ng malaking pintuan na gawa sa kahoy at hinila para buksan. Tahimik na hallway ang bumungad sa akin. Pero hindi katulad ng k'warto na pinanggalingan ko ay puti at itim ang wallpaper ng hallways na may mga paintings. I walked through the hallways until I reached the grand staircase. Muntik pa ako malula sa laki ng hagdanan but I was left with no choice kun'di ang tahakin iyon. I am so much filled with questions right now and maybe looking for the people in here would answer my questions.

Nang tuluyan na akong makababa, narinig ko ang mahihinang boses na nagmumula sa gawing kanan. Kahit nagsisigawan ng karangyaan ang bawat gamit na nandito sa salas nitong bahay, sinundan ko ang mga boses na iyon. The voices led me to a patio outside this huge house and there I saw the familiar woman whom I believed Almeder and Master Carlos. They're having their morning coffee and the breakfast foods are prepared on their table.

Sabay silang napatingin sa akin nang maramdaman nila ang presens'ya ko. They both smiled and Almeder stood up and motioned the remaining seat on the table.

"Gising ka na pala, Seven. Halika. Come join us," she invited using her alluring sweet voice.

I smiled and nod my head before walking towards the table.

"Hello po." I nodded at Master Carlos who's smiling at me bago umupo. "Bakit nga po pala ako nandito?" Hindi ko na napigilan ang pagtatanong.

"Let's talk about it over breakfast, shall we?" nakangiting pahayag n'ya at iminuwestra ang mga nakahandang pagkain.

"Sure po."

"Suit yourself. Magpakabusog ka, hija."

I started filling my plate with a toasted bread and some eggs. Almeder also filled my cup with coffee kaya nginitian ko s'ya.

"For the following days, you will need to practice yourself using the enigma's ability, Seven." I looked at Master Carlos who spoke while slicing his bread on his plate. Hindi s'ya nakatingin sa akin. "Namana mo yata ang abilidad ng enigma ni Almeder dati kaya ipinagpapayo kong magfocus ka sa pagpapalakas ng comando gamit ang iyong mentalidad."

Tumango ako at tiningnan si Almeder na nakatingin na pala sa akin. An unknown emotion flashed through her hazel eyes na pilit tinatakpan ng kan'yang magandang ngiti. I wanted to reach her mind pero hindi ko magawa.

Bakit ko naman namana ang abilidad n'ya dati?

"You will need to have an intense focus for that, okay?" she informed using her soft motherly voice. Mabilis akong nag-iwas ng tingin nang maramdaman ang kakaibang pintig ng puso ko habang nakatingin sa mga mata n'ya.

"O-Opo," I answered.

"Engage in deep meditation to work your mind out. Continue doing your physical fitness at isali mo ang pagpapalakas ng iyong mentalidad. The enigma will drain you out easily kapag pisikal mong katawan lang ang malakas, maliwanag?"
