Stanley Evergreen's Point of View.
"The only thing I could ever think of why they resort to an experimentation is the thought of making something to match with the Chosen's capabilities, Stan. Alam nating pareho na ang pinagsamang natural na lakas at ang katotohanang Seven is the product of the strongest bond the history had noted, tataglayin n'ya ang kapangyarihang higit pa sa maibibigay ng Enigma. And that alone should scare off the people who sees your daughter as a threat."
The vast meadow welcomed my sight through my glass window when I looked away from my friend's gaze as I tried to process what he had said. Loads of information have been restored in my mind, and Joseph's conclusion is one of them.
Seven holds the strongest category of abilities which is the Enigma. And it only occurs once in every generation. That only means one thing: disorder. But unlike the past generations, we were ought to fight hand-in-hand combats alongside with weapons. And today, Science has been used very well to even initiate an experimentation with humans.
Cruel.
"Seven is close to being invincible. And that only worsen his desire of getting rid of me," I mumbled at one realization.
"Right," he agreed. "But you have to be careful. Mainit ka pa sa mga mata ni Zander dahil biglaan mong pagbabalik. At sa pagbalik mo ay nakapuwesto ka kaagad sa Konseho nang walang ginagawa."
I looked at him. "His thoughts are less of a concern now. But whatever he's plotting surely is my concern. I don't like the way he goes around my daughter whenever he likes to. I can see that they go along."
A hint of bitterness crawled on my skin as I recall how well the went along the other night like they were friends who always hang out. I somehow felt jealous. But the acrid reality has slapped me multiple times that it was my choice to leave Seven under Joseph's care to prepare for Zander's plotted revenge against me. For killing his wife, Yazi, 18 years ago.
My jaw twitched upon the memory that flashes in my mind. How enraged and furious Yazi was when she found out I have a child with Almeder and refused to publicly announced that. I have always known that Yazi was in deep love with me during our days. But I don't feel the same way as I was head over heels with my beloved Almeder that I cannot entertain with whatever foolishness Yazi had for me. I also knew for a fact that Zander has something for Yazi and I don't have any reason to be with her. Zander was my best friend and dealing with Yazi in the most nicest way possible and made her understand that I don't love her was the best option I have to keep our friendship in tact.
Zander begun courting her and so I was with Almeder. While Johnson, I mean, Joseph was a happy-go-lucky type of guy who always chill around. Everything went smooth until we finished our studies and decided to fix the city. We were working for the city and the news of Zander and Yazi having a baby popped out like a corn being heated up. And soon enough, we had ours. And that was Seven. I thought, everything is okay. We were leading the towns and settled them into betterment. Our friendship was going well. Not until Yaz gone berserk after knowing that we have a daughter. We weren't really hiding it from them. Our communication was blurry as we were caught up in our own lives but I didn't expect her to crash our home and she tried to kill my daughter and my wife.
