Chapter 20

Today is my 19th birthday. Nagsuot lang ako ng simpleng dress tsaka doll shoes.
Nakauwi na si mama and she's back to work again.

Isang busina sa labas ang narinig ko. Agad akong bumaba at nilock ang bahay. I saw Yvo coming out of his car. I hugged him immediately. Excited ako sa pupuntahan namin.

"Saan pala tayo pupunta?" excited kong tanong pagkapasok ko sa kanyang kotse.

"Secret." he playfully said before holding my hand. He is just driving with one hand.

"Okay pero malayo ba?" He chuckled before pinching my cheek.

"Secret nga diba?" I smile at him. He os wearing a plain polo and tight jeans with his sneakers, so casual.

"Your staring too much. Am I that handsome?" Wala sa sariling tumango ako.

"Super Handsome." He laughed so I got my phone and snap a few photo of him. Ipinakita ko sa kanya iyon.

"See I'm not joking." I teased him. I saw his ears reddened.

"You're still a baby." he muttered pero narinig ko. Napasimangot ako. Maybe he wants a matured woman?

"Am I too childish? Do you like more matured woman?" I asked.

"What?" kunot noong baling niya sa akin.

"I mean do you prefer matured woman? I'm 19 now. " I suddenly feel insecure of our age gap. He is 22 and girls at his age are more likable and matured. Just like him.

I studied my appearance at the mirror. My eyes were doe, my nose were just at a right shape and my lips were a little bit pouty and my skin's just fair. My eyes trailed down to my chest. My cheeks heated up, sakto lang naman. But I look like a kid. Sinasabi nila na maganda daw ako pero kung ikukumpara sa iba para akong bata. Isang Nene.

"Kit I prefer you, being you. Just my sweet Kit." Yvo's voice made me face him. He was wearing a little smile on his face.
Ngumiti din ako. Hindi ko na maiiwasan iyon, sa tuwing nakangiti siya ay napapangiti na din ako.

"Yvo?"

"Hhmm?"

"Bakit ako?" I asked.

"Anong ibig mong sabihin?" he asked while looking at the road.

"A-ang ibig kong sabihin, bakit mo ako nagustuhan? Eh diba ang daming maganda sa school na may gusto sa'yo." nahihiya kong tanong. Hindi naman sa namimingwit ako ng mga papuri pero I was just curious.

I heard him chuckle. "Oh no," he muttered.

"I dont like them, their attitude sucks and besides you can't know the exact reason why you liked a person wifey. You can't question that, I have flaws and so all of the people and yet there is someone who will fall inlove with them genuinely no matter how complicated they are." I was at awe at his answers there.

"That's why you love me, yeah?" he teasingly added. Lumabi ako tsaka tumango.

"Kahit bully at bad guy ka." pakikisakay ko sa kanya. He just laugh and hold my hand.

"I must be lucky then." he said.

We ended up in some beach. He rented a cabin for us.

"Hindi mo sinabing sa beach pala tayo. Wala akong damit."

"Dont worry we will buy after lunch."

Kumain kami ng lunch sa isang restaurant doon. After that bumili kami ng damit ko. Mabuti na lang at natapat sa sembreak ang aking kaarawan.
