A month later midway November Mallory's phone rang and she tried to reach it but had to stretch more to grab it pulling away from Nick's arms.

She had decided not to go back to Oxford and was debating wether even going back to school in general. Noelle had offered her a position in the company and Mallory was considering on accepting it even though that for many years she said never wanted to work for the company.

She liked the idea of joining her cousins so they could work together to help the company heal.

Mallory grabbed her phone and answered the call when she saw her father's number on the caller id.

"Hello?" Mallory said as she sat up. "You're still sleeping?" Her father asked.

"It's six a.m" Mallory answered. "I figured you'd be awake already" Roman said.

"It's Sunday what can I possibly be doing up on Sunday morning at six a.m?" Mallory asked.

"Your grandmother said she has been calling you and got no answer so she asked me to call you to inform you that the only day her event planner has available to help you is today at eight a.m"

"I thank her for the effort tell her I'll be there" Mallory said before ending the call and laying back.

"Good morning" Devin said as he pulled her close to him. "You're morning voice is something I'll never get tired of hearing" Mallory said as she snuggled in his arms. She liked that he slept shirtless so she felt his warmth even more.

Devin smiled with his eyes still closed as he hugged her.

"I have to shower to meet up with my grandmother, do you want to have breakfast with us?" Mallory said as she traced his spinal cord with her finger.

"No, you go ahead and take all the time you need with your grandmother. Liam is picking up so we can go to the gym and after that will go find him a suit" Devin said.

"Okay well I'm getting up now" Mallory said as she sat up.

"Hey" Devin grabbed her hand and pulled her back to peck her lips. "Have fun, take my car" Devin smiled before letting go of her hand.

Mallory showered and decided to wear jeans for the first time in many years. They were black jeans she wanted to pair with a black long sleeve turtleneck shirt. She decided to wear her chanel espadrilles. She straightened her hair and applied makeup before grabbing her fendi peach coat and black hermes birkin.

She grabbed the keys to Devins Bentley continental gt. She loved the black and red interior of the car and how cleaned he always kept it.

She drove to her family's home where just as she parked right in front of the home her grandmother stepped out.

Mallory turned the car off and stepped out with her bag and sunglasses as she didn't like how strong the sunrise was.

"Good morning darling" Eleanor greeted her with pecks on both cheeks. "Morning grandma, I take it that she's here already?" Mallory asked as she saw a car parked in front of hers.

"Come inside" Eleanor said and Mallory followed her. They walked out to the backyard where they were about to have breakfast.

Mallory's eyes went straight to Bellami who was already seated. She decided not to say anything and realized the car in front of hers was Bellami's.

"Darling" Antoinette greeted Mallory. "Where are all the men?" Mallory asked.

"They've left to the country club" Antoinette answered. "Because the acres of land they own here that they converted into a golf coarse aren't enough?" Mallory raised her brow as she served herself a cup of coffee.

"I asked them to leave so we'd have an all girls day" Eleanor smiled. "Speaking of that my favorite person when it comes to events has arrived" Eleanor said and walked back into the home.

"I'll go greet her as well" Antoinette smiled.

Mallory and Bellami were left alone. Today was simply not the day Mallory wanted to argue with Bellami. She walked towards the edge of the balcony where she looked down at the pool.

"I thought jeans weren't your thing" Bellami said to Mallory as she walked towards her.

"Doesn't mean I won't wear them once in a while, besides it's cold and I wasn't going to wear pants and ruin my sense of fashion" Mallory said without looking at Bellami who was beside her.

"Why would you give that woman my address?" Bellami asked.

"That woman goes by the name of Brooke, a woman who you should have the minimum respect for considering that she's the reason you're living this lavish life" Mallory turned to look at Bellami.

"The reason I'm fortunate is because my mother and father gave me this life. I don't consider nor will I even think about considering in ever thanking that woman that you defend. How do you know she's not lying to all of us?" Bellami frowned.

"That's very unfortunate because they have the kindness and love that you lack of. As to them lying I don't think so and neither do you, you're just trying to avoid the truth" Mallory shrugged. "Why would you do this to me? I mean for so long you and I were the best sisters anyone ever knew" Bellami said.

Mallory couldn't help but smile before turning to look at Bellami, "You ended that yourself Bella, and it wasn't because of what you did to get me away from Ezekiel but as to why you did it. Not because you were in love with him too but because of the envy you felt towards me. You were my sister and that didn't stop you, which seriously I don't understand why you made yourself feel any less than me. I never considered myself any prettier or any smarter than you, I actually looked up to you. As to Noelle getting the company I'm glad she did because you aren't capable of running an empire so big with that greedy ambition. She has never harmed you and if I'm honest she probably would've offered you to be her right hand if you had never been as much of a bitch as you have been with her." Mallory looked at Bellami.

"When Scott told me about your biological parents I didn't believe him and when I found out it was true I brought your mother back to the states so I could hurt you. I wanted to hurt you and make you swallow every single bad thing you ever said. Now I realize I didn't achieve that but I did get your real parents the opportunity to meet their daughter who for so many years they've thought was dead. I'm glad mother and father gave you as you say this extravagant life however even though they're my biological parents the crime they committed of almost killing you and Brooke at birth will never be accepting in my eyes or anyone else's. Brooke and her husband may not have the luxurious life that ours have but they're not bad people, they're just two more victims of this Kline family. Give them the opportunity Bella, you'll always have your trust fund and surname but those people are worth more than the people that you actually consider your parents, they don't care about you, they didn't care if you died at birth and they don't care now" Mallory looked back down at the pool and Bellami turned to look at Mallory.

"So what? Only you get a happy ending with your perfect husband and your perfect family and life? Why do you deserve to have everything?" Bellami said without raising her voice.

"I've been fortunate to find someone who cares endlessly about me but my life isn't perfect and if you see it that way it's probably because you've made your own life so miserable." Mallory said before walking away to the table to take her seat.
