Eleanor ran out of the elevator and down the hall until she got to the waiting room where Liam and Noelle where just arriving with Mallory who had not said a word after she laid with Devin.
"Grandma" Noelle called Eleanor who walked towards them.
Eleanor hugged Noelle before looking at Mallory whose eyes were swollen from crying.
"Mal, baby" Eleanor grabbed her hands to hold. Mallory looked at her grandmother, "he wanted me to help my parents get out of jail so I'd have family because he knew he was going to die" Mallory said with no tears, just dry eyes.
Eleanor wished Mallory would cry because seeing her trying to hold it in made her feel worse. Eleanor looked at Noelle then at Liam.
"I'm sorry" Eleanor said to Liam before embracing Mallory in a hug. Mallory pushed herself away as she didn't want to be held.
"I want to see him" Mallory whispered but the room was so quiet everyone heard.
"Is she allowed to see him?" Eleanor asked. "His parents asked to be with alone with him for a few minutes" Liam answered.
After half an hour his parents stepped out because they had to take his body elsewhere so his parents could sign a few papers to have the body given to them.
Mallory waited for them and when they were done they were handed a bag with his belongings. They decided to give Mallory the little things like his wallet, his phone, and keys. Mallory looked at the bag and tangled in between his keys was his wedding band.
Mallory's tears began streaming down her face once again. Liam quickly held her when he saw her knees getting weak.
"I think it's best if she stays anywhere that isn't their home" Devins mother said to Eleanor and Noelle.
"I'll take her with me" Eleanor said before hugging Devins mother to give her her condolences.
Mallory was basically pulled out of the hospital and to the parking lot where Noelle asked her grandmother to take her car and ask Marcus to leave without them so that Noelle could drive Liam.
"I'll meet you two home" Noelle said to her grandmother who nodded.
"I'm going to my home, Devin and mines" Mallory said. Liam looked up at Mallory after staring at the ground when he zoned out.
"Mallory that's not a great idea" Eleanor said.
"I said I'm going home" Mallory said. "I'll drive her" Liam said.
Noelle didn't know what to do but she knew she had to let them grieve. "no, I'll drive you both" Noelle said and asked her grandmother to go back home in her car. She promised to take care of them.

Mallory stepped into her penthouse with Noelle and Liam behind her.
They watched as Mallory made her way towards the stairs and figured she was going up to the bedroom she shared with Devin.
"I'll call the airport to tell them to cancel the flight" Noelle tried to say in a whisper but there was so much silence Mallory heard her and stopped at the first step. They waited for her to turn to face them but she didn't. She continued walking up the stairs and made her way towards her bedroom.
Liam looked around and couldn't help but feel that Devin would step in through the front door any moment. He then began remembering of how Devin had got back to his apartment.
The way it was so difficult for him to speak. Noelle grabbed Liam's hand and brought him back to reality. He turned to look at her and brought her close to him, he hugged her and pecked her forehead.
