The choreographer was there and had another girl placed between Mallory and Noelle. Mallory thought they would be next to each other but the choreographer assured her the dance would still be the same. They walked to the dance floor. Mallory looked down at the glass floor that had white and pink roses underneath then looked up to see more roses with lights and a big chandelier. She loved how extra her grandmother was and aspired to be like her. Mallory and the other girls had their masks on but only hers and Noelle's had crystals making them stand out the most.

As Mallory waited for the guys to get in a line across them she thought about the previous year when she took Noah with her to the ball. And then she thought about the year before that when she danced with Ezekiel outside where nobody saw them have their first kiss. Colton didn't show up and she knew he wouldn't because it wasn't easy for him to buy an airplane ticket as it was for her to get on a private jet and fly anywhere she wanted. She thought to herself that it was okay, she didn't need a mans company to feel fulfilled. Her cousin Noelle was there and she enjoyed her company, she considered her more of a sister than her actual sister Bellami.

The lights around them turned off and the lights on the dance floor lit up. Mallory looked straight ahead at the guy in front of her. She couldn't tell who most of them where due to the masks. The song began playing and Mallory waited two seconds before her and the others took the first steps towards each other. Mallory danced and thought about how corny the song was. She rolled her eyes but her partner didn't see.

Noelle was dancing with Nick without even realizing it. He thought he would be with her during the entire dance and  was shocked when he saw the girls twirl towards the person to their left. Just as he was about to speak to her she was with her other partner.

Mallory was actually enjoying the dance and looked over at Noelle to her smiling, she could tell she was having fun to and her partner was speaking to her. However the dance soon came to a stop and Mallory walked over to her grandmother along with Noelle. "Wasn't it great?" Eleanor smiled. Noelle nodded.

"Really grandma? Loyal brave and true? You might as well have made us do the waltz with our idiot fathers. However it was great" Mallory said. "It's a beautiful waltz song" Eleanor answered.

"These masks are heavy and it's getting hot" Mallory said as she removed her mask and so did Noelle.

"I have guest to attend darlings, have fun" Eleanor said excusing herself.

"My partner said I looked beautiful but he couldn't even see half of my face" Noelle laughed. "It's the perky breast" Mallory joked. "You do look beautiful and the mask made your blue eyes stand out even more" Mallory added.

"Do you want to get something to drink?" Mallory asked Noelle. "Yeah I saw a champagne wall over there" Noelle pointed and they began walking.

Noelle stopped and Mallory turned to look at her. "What is he doing here?" Noelle said looking straight ahead from her where Nick was walking by. Mallory looked at the direction he was walking and saw Ezekiel speaking to Matthew.

"He's here with them" Mallory said looking straight at Ezekiel. "They don't even know each other" Noelle frowned.

"Ever heard of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' ?" Mallory said before she was going to walk towards them but they both stopped when they saw her father Roman and Noelle's father walking towards Nick, Ezekiel and Matthew.

"Great, he's here too" Noelle said when she saw her father. "We're not going to let them ruin our night" Mallory said looking at them.

Roman and Benjamin walked towards Ezekiel, Nick, and Matthew. Ezekiel laughed when he saw Roman. "I wasn't aware we sent you all an invitation. You aren't permitted to be here" Roman said looking at the three of them but especially at Ezekiel.
