Mallory took a seat besides Devin who was sitting on the couch looking through his pdf documents.
Devin smiled and put his arm over her shoulder.
"How did it go after we left?" Devin asked Mallory.
"Great, I don't really do much because Noelle is on summer vacation so she dedicates all her time to her job. By the way she said she had something important to tell me" Mallory said and looked at Devin.
"Yeah? What did she say?" Devin asked as he closed his MacBook.
"She's working on opening new offices, well she got them approved and will begin construction soon but she said she'll probably move me to one of those, maybe New York" Mallory nodded.
"you want to move to New York?" Devin raised his brow.
"It would be great however you're my husband and I want your opinion on it, what do you think about us living in New York?" Mallory asked.
"it's great, my father has an office there too so we can make it work but do you really want to leave Chicago?" Devin asked.
"You don't?" Mallory asked him.
"I'm fine with living anywhere but I know how much you love it here" Devin said.
"Yeah but I'd like to experience living in a different state from where we grew up in. I don't know I guess we still have lots of time to think about it while the office gets done. Is that a rash?" Mallory pointed to his arm that was on the elbow rest of the couch.
Devin turned to look at his arm and shook his head no. "No I was outside smoking and got bit twice by mosquitoes and I scratched so now it worsened" Devin nodded.
"I think we have ointment in our bathroom" Mallory said before trying to push herself up but Devin grabbed her arm and pulled her back. She was now on his legs looking at him.
"What?" Mallory asked when he provoked her to blush by the way he was looking at her.
Devin shook his head and caressed her cheek, "You simply have the most admirable eyes" he said.
"They're just my eyes" Mallory smiled.
"You're so fucking beautiful and I'm so incredibly lucky. You're my wife, you chose me" Devin said.
Mallory smiled and leaned into kiss him.
"Liam asked us to join him for dinner" Devin said. "where?" Mallory raised her brow.
"A steakhouse I think" Devin nodded.
"Sounds good, we should shower and get changed" Mallory stood up and Devin tried to follow but felt his foot cramp and sat back down. He started laughing and Mallory frowned as she didn't know what was going on.
"I got a cramp" Devin pointed to his foot. "Do you want me to help you stretch your foot?" Mallory asked.
"No" Devin shook his head and stood up.

Devin held the door open for Mallory who stepped in along with Noelle. Then Devin and Liam stepped in last.
They were taken to their table and from a table near the back was Ezekiel having dinner with some of his friends but Mallory never saw him.
Ezekiel was just turning when Mallory took her seat. He was facing her back and Noelles. Devin sat across Mallory and Liam sat across Noelle.
Devin and Liam both saw Ezekiel but Devin decided to ignore him however he was worried that Mallory would turn.
Ezekiel was jealous but he felt even happier to see Mallory at least from a far because the last time he had spoken to her they had said goodbye to each other. Ezekiel watched as Mallory moved her curled hair over her shoulder and laughed at something Liam had just said.
