"You came" Mallory smiled as she stepped in front of Colton who smiled when he saw her. "I hope the party hasn't ended yet" Colton said as he hugged her.
"You look beautiful by the way" Colton said once they let go of each other. "Thank you, no it actually just began. Do you want to eat?" Mallory asked.
"No I'm good I actually stopped by a McDonalds at the airport" Colton nodded. "Do you want something to drink?"
"Yeah that sounds better"
Mallory asked Colton to follow her to the bar. He ordered a drink and they began speaking to each other as they waited.
"So this is your house?" Colton raised his brow. "Yeah, it's been our family home for a few generations now" Mallory smiled. "When Calum mentioned you were rich he didn't say your house took half the space of Chicago. What is it that your family does?" Colton joked.
"We scam people" Mallory nodded. Colton laughed thinking she was joking but she was being completely honest. "We work with energy, the electricity running anywhere you go has Kline enterprise written all over it" Mallory nodded. "See your surname always sounded very unique I don't know why I didn't think you were connected to the Kline enterprise. So how are you related to the business man Roman Kline?" Colton asked as he took a drink from his vodka cocktail.
"He's my father" Mallory said. "Really? I've read a few articles on him, they're always on his success and about his father. Surprisingly a lot of them are about on how he doesn't want to do the cover of Forbes" Colton said.
"Who would want to splurge on stolen money" Mallory smiled. "What?" Colton grinned. "Nothing, I'd like you to meet my family if your okay with it" Mallory said to Colton.
"Sure" Colton smiled. Mallory walked towards her family table. "Everybody, I'd like you to meet a good friend of mine, Colton Roswell" Mallory smiled.
"Colton" Eleanor said as he stood up. "Lovely to meet you"
"The pleasure is all mine" Colton shook Eleanors hand. "She's my grandmother, Eleanor Cassidy. This is my mother Antoinette Kline." Mallory stopped when she got to Bellami who for once was holding her baby.
"I'm her sister" Bellami smiled. "Unfortunately" Mallory said as she took Colton away.
"I take that you and your sister don't get along" Colton smiled at Mallory. "She'd kill me if we didn't have the same last name" Mallory shrugged.
Just as they were walking to find Noelle they bumped into her father and uncle.
"Mallory, where's your cousin?" Roman asked. Mallory looked at her uncle before looking back at her father.
"Father this is Colton, Colton this is my father Roman" Mallory introduced them and even introduced Colton to her uncle Benjamin.
"Do you know where my daughter is?" Benjamin asked. "To be quite honest I don't think she wants to see you" Mallory said.
"Your grandfather wants to see both of you in his office" Roman said. "Why can't he just come out here? It's a party for god sakes" Mallory raised her voice.
Roman wanted to yell at her but saw Colton standing besides her. They were already making things awkward for him. "Excuse us" Roman said before walking away with Benjamin.
"That's the big Roman Kline" Mallory said. "Anyway, where are you staying?" Mallory asked Colton. "In a hotel a few minutes away from the airport, I leave tomorrow night" Colton said. "That fast?"
"I have class on Monday, but I wanted to stop by to see you. You should probably look for your cousin and see what your grandfather wants" Colton smiled. "He can wait" Mallory said.
"It's probably important, go ahead I'll wait for you here" Colton said. "Are you sure?" Mallory asked. "Yeah, theres good drinks here" Colton smiled.
"Okay I'll be right back" Mallory said before leaving to look for Noelle. Mallory walked by Ezekiel who grabbed her arm to stop her.
"Mal" Ezekiel said. Mallory pulled her arm away, "it's Mallory" she responded. "Can we go somewhere to talk?" Ezekiel said.
"That doesn't sound like a great idea, you know especially because anything you say to me I might say to my father. I'm a traitor don't you remember?" Mallory smiled before walking away.
Colton watched them from the bar and could tell he was the reason why Mallory left to New York.
Mallory walked all around but couldn't find Noelle. She walked down to the lake until she got to the kiosk but there was nobody there. From the corner of her eye she saw a couple on the dock and realized it was Noelle.
She stepped closer until she was a few feet away from them. "I'm sorry to interrupt, Noelle-" she stopped when she saw the guy with Noelle turn.
"Liam?" Mallory smiled. "Hey" Liam smiled. "When did you get here?"
"Three days ago, had to rehearse for the Waltz" Liam said. "You were one of the dancers?" Mallory asked.
"Yeah, I was her partner. Do you two know each other?" Liam asked them. "We're cousins" Noelle smiled.
Liam widened his eyes before looking at Mallory. "Does that mean you're a Kline?" Liam asked Noelle. "No I'm Noelle Cassidy" She smiled.
"She carries our grandmother Eleanors last name but she has Kline blood" Mallory smiled. "Wait I'm confused, so are you guys cousins cousins?" Liam asked.
"Her father and my father brothers if that solves it for you. Can I borrow her for a while" Mallory said. "Yeah, I'll be here" Liam said to Noelle as he slightly blushed.
"Why do you look nervous?" Mallory asked Liam. Liam shook his head. Mallory opened her mouth when she realized that for once Liam was nervous with a girl. "Do you like her?" Mallory asked Liam.
"I- I didn't know she was your cousin" Liam said. "It's weird seeing you nervous, but I'm glad it's her who for once in your lifetime is bringing you to your knees." Mallory smiled.
Noelle blushed just like Liam did. "She'll be back, someone just wants to speak to her" Mallory smiled as she took Noelle with her.
Once they were away from him, "you danced with Liam Grimaldi?" Mallory looked at Noelle.
"How do you know him?" Noelle asked. "We attended the same school. He was Ezekiels best friend. He's a very funny and outgoing person. He's obviously finds your attractive because I've never seen him nervous" Mallory smiled.
"He's attractive" Noelle smiled. "He is, he attends Cambridge." Mallory said.
"Really? I mean where are we going?" Noelle asked when she realized they had stepped into the house.
"Don't panic. I'll be there with you, grandfather wants to see us" Mallory said. "He hated my mother I don't think my presence will be any different" Noelle began to worry.
"I'm sure he's excited to meet you. I'll defend you if he dares to be mean to you" Mallory smiled. "Come one" Mallory grabbed Noelle's hand before opening the door to the office.
