"Do you need something?" Noelle's assistant asked Mallory who stood by her desk.
"No. I mean yes, actually whose name do you have for this appointment?" Mallory asked.
"Ezekiel Hirsch. He's coded with gold so it's someone very important which is why I don't get why Miss Noelle didn't prefer to attend him herself. It's how Miss Noelle works her schedules"
"I think I have an idea. Thank you" Mallory said and excused herself to grab her tray of cups with hot chocolate. Mallory stepped back into the office and set the drinks aside before she took her seat.
"Why is she doing this?" Ezekiel asked.
"she has been trying to help for years and my father finally gave in after she had everyone deny him help to construct there" Mallory said.
"So this is it? I just take the papers and they're mine?" Ezekiel asked.
"Well you'd have to sign it to agree that those lands will be under your name and not under your fathers like they used to be which of course you can change all that once you've signed" Mallory grabbed a pen and handed it to him.
"Did you ask her to do this?" Ezekiel grabbed the pen as he looked at her in the eyes.
"I asked her to help you when she had recently just signed into office. She obviously outdid herself and did even more so maybe you should speak to her and thank her" Mallory said. Ezekiel nodded and looked down to sign where his signature was needed.
"Thank you" Ezekiel said once he was done signing.
"Thank Noelle I did nothing" Mallory responded as she grabbed the phone and dialed the assistants number. She asked her to come get the papers and have a copy taken of them. Ezekiel looked at Mallory when she asked for a copy.
"Noelle needs the copy and she'll probably get back to you because she needs to take it to her lawyer to have it signed as well" Mallory assured him. "Now if you don't have any other questions that will be all" Mallory said.
Ezekiel looked at her as she tried to avoid him. He got up to leave but sat back down.
"Actually I want to know why you're avoiding me?" Ezekiel asked.
Mallory looked at him to show him that she wasn't but both of them knew she was.
"I'm not avoiding you. And to be quite frank I didn't know she'd ask me to help her today and I especially didn't know you'd be here for those documents" Mallory said.
"How have you been?" Ezekiel asked.
"I believe you already asked that" Mallory responded. "You look beautiful" Ezekiel smiled.
"Thank you" Mallory said and looked at the computer.
"See how you are trying to avoid me" Ezekiel smirked.
"I'm not"
"It sure seems like it. I'll head out now, I'd invite you out to have a drink but I don't know if you're dating someone, I'm not" Ezekiel smiled.
Mallory felt her heart beat faster for him and she couldn't help but smile, "You really didn't have to let me know you're not dating anyone" Mallory said.
"I thought you'd be curious to know, I am"Ezekiel smiled. Truth is Mallory was curious to know if he was dating someone but she was never going to ask.
Mallory looked at the hot chocolate cups before looking back at Ezekiel who looked attractive in his school's hoodie.
"I have hot chocolate, if you'd like one" Mallory said. "Well what if we take the drinks to my car so we can talk" Ezekiel suggested.
