"Are you drunk?" Mallory asked Ezekiel who smiled at her waiting for her to greet him back. He had greeted her twice already and she had not yet answered.
Ezekiel chuckled, "No, I just got here not so long ago. I'm still on my first beer. What are you guys doing here?" He asked Mallory who looked back at her drink.
"What else can we possibly do at a bar?" She asked him with a frown. He smiled and shook his head.
"How have you been?" He asked. "What do you want?" She asked him.
"I just wanted to speak with you, last time we spoke I think I was heated and didn't say exactly everything I wanted to say" Ezekiel shrugged. Mallory widened her eyes in disbelief that he said he didn't say everything he wanted to let out.
"I don't think this is the place or the time" Mallory claimed. "lets go somewhere else" Ezekiel suggested.
"I'm not here alone and neither are you. Even if we were we shouldn't be speaking to each other" Mallory said.
"Why? Did he prohibit you speaking to me?" Ezekiel raised his brows. "because I'm engaged" Mallory frowned.
"That's why you cant have a conversation with me? We're not doing anything we shouldn't be doing." Ezekiel stated. "Lets speak in the hall that leads to the restrooms or in my car" Ezekiel added.
"Why can't you just say what you want to say here" Mallory looked at him. "You're the one who said this wasn't the place but if you want people to hear our conversation I'm fine with that" Ezekiel said and opened his mouth to begin speaking.
"Let's speak outside" Mallory stopped him and left her drink behind before getting up and walking over towards Noelle.
"I'm going outside to speak with him" Mallory said to Noelle who looked over at Ezekiel who was grabbing his jacket from his chair.
"That's fine Mal, its none of my business as to who you choose even in the last minute however don't do anything you wouldn't want your significant other to do to you, speaking from experience" Noelle said. "I won't don't worry" Mallory smiled.
"I'll wait here" Noelle said.
"Where are you going?" Ezekiels friends asked him. "I'll be back in a minute" Ezekiel said. "Is her friend single?" His friend asked looking over at Noelle.
"That's her cousin and I don't know, either way don't bother her" He said and walked over towards the back exit because he had parked his car in back parking lot.
Mallory followed him and once they were walking down the small hall that lead to the exit door he allowed her to walk in front of him.
She stepped out and saw the snow that was just beginning to cover the ground. She turned to look at him and waited for him to begin speaking but he frowned.
"Inside my car, it's cold out here" Ezekiel said as he unlocked his car. Mallory walked to the passenger side and got in. She was thankful that his windows and one walking by couldn't see inside.
Ezekiel turned the heater on and removed his jacket. "You're wedding is in a few days" Ezekiel said as he turned to look at her.
Mallory nodded.
"This is probably the last time we'll speak isn't it? You look beautiful by the way" Ezekiel smiled.
"That's why you wanted to speak to me? To tell me I look beautiful?" Mallory frowned.
"I wanted to speak so we'd both do the talking but you're just nodding. Is there anything you want to say to me?" Ezekiel asked.
"Just that I'm sorry we met in a strange time in both of our lives" Mallory shrugged.
