❄️ 💚 ❄️"Wakie wakie!!! It's the day!!!" Keegan yelled out as he burst into my room. He was beaming excitedly while I was barely awake.
"What time is it, Kee?"
"It's 5. C'mon, dad!"
"Kee, it's wayyy too early," I whined out before burying my face back into the pillow.
I let out a loud oomph when Keegan jumped onto my back, leeching onto me as he blew raspberries into my neck. This kid knew what he was doing, I swear.
I squirmed from underneath him, successfully getting out of his hold as he laughs in victory seeing that I'm completely awake now.
"Fine, what do you wanna do?"
"Can we make a big, big, big breakfast?" Keegan asked with his hopeful big blue eyes.
"Um... I don't see why not, for whom though?"
"Everyone!"
"Everyone?"
"Yupp, Uncle Mikey, Uncle Calum, Kira, Eu, and everyone else at the orphanage."
"Let's just see if we have the stuff or not first, okay?"
"Okay"
"If we do, I'll tell Mrs Edwards to not cook anything for the other kids,"
"Yayyy!!!" Keegan cheered out happily before sprinting out down the stairs and to the kitchen.
I rubbed my eyes tiredly, a sleepy smile lingering on my face. I pushed the cover off of me before strolling down the stairs and right to the kitchen.
Keegan was standing on a stool, opening and checking up the high cabinet before he closes them and does the same with the other cabinet.
"Found everything?"
"Yupp! We got more than enough stuff for a big breakfast that contains waffles, pancakes, bacon, and eggs."
"Oh? Going all the way, aren't we?" I teased him lightly. It got a double meaning but he probably didn't get it.
"Yupp!"
"Alright then, can you help me with the eggs, bub? Because I need to prepare the stuff for waffles and pancake."
"'Course. I'll set up the waffle pan as well,"
"Cool, thanks, bub,"
He just grinned at me before hopping off of the stool and ran towards the fridge. He pulled out the eggs' tray and set them on the counter before grabbing the biggest bowl and cracks all the eggs in the first two rows. Well, I guess he'll make scrambles eggs then. Whatever, it doesn't matter anyway.
I sent a text to Mrs Edwards quickly, before collecting the needed ingredients.
I was about to make the dough of the waffle when I heard Keegan gasp loudly causing me to turn around in a blink of an eye.
"What? Are you okay? Did you burn yourself?"
"We forgot music!" His eyes were comically wide and if it wasn't for the tears-free eyes, I would probably inspect every single part of his body already. I sighed at him before nodding towards the stereo in the living room. He grinned widely before running off to the stereo.
Soon enough, Saturday Night by P!ATD was heard throughout the huge house before Keegan rushed back into the kitchen, a wide smile plastering his face now.
We continued our business and by the time I was done with the dough, he was already cooking the sunny side up eggs.
"You're making two kinds of eggs?"
"Nope, three!"
"Three?"
"Yes, I'll make the omelette after this,"
"Okay then, I'll just continue with the waffles and pancake,"
"I could do the bacon as well once I'm done if you'd like," He offered absentmindedly.
"Let's just see who finished their task first, yeah? Whoever finished it first could make the bacon,"
"Okay,"
An hour and 45 minutes later, there were three high stacks of pancakes, four even higher stacks of waffles, three plates with different kind of eggs and a plate full of bacon.
"Alright, let's just wash our self up while they cool down before we packed them away and get going,"
"Aye, aye, Captain!" He gave me the sailor's salute, before dashing out of the room. Isn't he just something else?
I went to my own room and get myself ready before coming back down to the kitchen approximately 30 minutes later. Keegan was still nowhere in sight so I packed the food away myself.
He came in just right when I was done with the packing causing him to pout childishly.
"You should've waited for me,"
"Nah, it's alright. Should we get going now? It's almost 8 already,"
"Yes, 'course!"
The drive to the orphanage included Keegan bouncing up and down impatiently on the passenger seat and me trying my best to calm him down. As soon as we arrived at the orphanage, Keegan bolt right out of the car and towards Mrs Edwards who was already waiting for our arrival.
The breakfast was a lot more emotional than I thought it would be, it consisted of some cries of joys and actual tears because the twin is finally adopted.
We left soon after everything was taken care of and this time, Keegan choose to sit in the back with the twin on his sides.
I could literally see the way the twin's face lit up as soon as I pull into the driveway.
"Is this where we gonna live?" Kira asked still too far in a daze.
"Yes, and guess what? You guys got your own rooms!!!" Keegan happily said. I noticed Kira beaming even more but Eudoria went slightly down.
"Is there something wrong, love?"
"Wanna room with Kira," She shyly and quietly replied to me.
"It's alright, your room is next to each other and there's a door that connects both rooms"
"Really?"
"Yes, are you okay now?" I asked and she nodded, back to beaming brightly just like her twin.
Keegan helped them to get out of their car seat once I've parked the car while I left to open the front door. The twin gasped at the view in front of them, eyes going comically large as their mouth went agape.
"Come on in and be my guest,"
