A Few Years Later..
Hey little baba, ooh you're a stunner
Cute little figure, yes you're a winner, and
I'm so glad to be yours
You're a class all your own
And oh little cutie, when you talk to me
I swear the whole world stops, you're my sweetheart
And I'm so glad that you're mine
You are one of a kind andYou mean to me what I mean to you
And together, baby there is nothing we won't do
'Cause if I got you
I don't need money
I don't need cars
Son, you're my allLoyal clapped his hands up above his head while chomping down on the last of the scrambled eggs I'd made him. He absolutely loves it when I sing to him, especially this song because he thinks it's his own. I change around all the lyrics to match up with him - just like I do with many other songs. Chris Brown definitely has to be my baby boy's favourite though, just like his daddy.
"Come on handsome, let's go get cleaned up and then we can go to your school." I said with a smile and lifted Loyal from his chair.
He wrapped his little arms around me the best that he could and nestled his head into the crook of my neck. These are the moments I live for and the moments that as a mother, I cherish the most.
When we moved out here to New York when Loyal was just a baby, I had no idea what to expect. All I really knew was that I was coming here for a better life - and I found that.
With the money that Kade left me and our baby boy, I put down a deposit on a small two bedroom apartment which I am now close to owning completely. The leftover of that I put into a separate bank account for Loyal, for when he gets older. My parents never had the money to help set me up for life but I will do so for my son because I have the means to.
I got a simple job at a little cafe to start off with. That helped with bills and childcare. I moved up the ranks there within a year and became the manager and that prompted me to bring in more money. Bringing in more money meant more savings for me and my son and a foundation for certain things I envisioned to come to life. And those things certainly did.
I am now a highly sort after makeup artist here in New York. I've even had the privilege of travelling a few times to do makeup for many different formal occasions. It's a demanding job at times but the bonus is being able to take Loyal along with me - in fact most clients love it and they totally adore him. I'm not a fan of having my child in childcare twenty four seven, I much rather he be with me, but sometimes I don't have a choice.
"Mama, moo-sick?"
I giggled at Loyal's pronunciation as I started up the car. "Of course bubba. Who do you want today?"
Seems like a pretty intricate question to ask a toddler, but this kid loves music and he knows his people.
"TuTu!"
Also know as Tupac.
"Alright." I replied and connected to bluetooth and immediately put on some Pac.
