A Week Later..

I've been trying to lay low while everything that happened last week cools down

I've been trying to lay low while everything that happened last week cools down. The media was all over me and everyone else involved in the altercation that took place in the club. Genesis hasn't said a word to me about what happened and has since gone back to Miami to be with her family so that she can 'take a break from the world' or whatever she said.

If it were up to me I'd be in New Orleans hiding out but apparently all the paps were sure I was going to go there, so last minute my management switched things up and sent me here to New York instead. Thankfully no one has noticed me yet, but I'm sure it will only last so long. I'm tired of people asking me about this new found beef with Trey. He laid hands on my girl, the woman that is carrying my child, and I'm not over that. He can come fight me, I don't give a fuck.

I pulled into the parking lot and parked as close to the entrance as possible. This is definitely wouldn't be a good place to be spotted. I put on my hat and sunglasses before getting out of the car and locking it up, then I kept my head down as I made my way inside. Once I was in the building itself I wasted no time going up to the floor that Sevyn had told me, as well as the number of the apartment.

When I reached the door I contemplated even doing this for a minute but as quick as that thought had come, it had left and I rang the doorbell without anymore hesitation. A few minutes later I heard the locks clicking before the door swung open and there she stood in front of me in a figure hugging dress that clearly showed her small yet noticeable belly - though if you didn't know she was pregnant you'd think she was just bloated or had a little chub to her.

Her eyes widened as she noticed who I was. "What are you doing here? Wait..how do you even know where I live?" She said in a tone that I couldn't decipher. "Actually fuck all that, you need to leave before I call security to drag you out."

"Everly calm down, please. I'm not here to cause any trouble. I just want to talk."

"Talk about what? We have nothing to talk about August and I know damn well if Tremaine knows that you were over here he'll have a fit. You need to leave, I won't say it again."

"I'm not going anywhere until we talk." I said firmly. "As for him, I could care less what he thinks. Tell him to come find me for all I care. He really doesn't want to mess with a yungin' though."

"Is that..are you threatening him right now?"

I shrugged. "Take that how you want to sweetheart. Now, are you going to let me in so we can talk?"

She sighed. "We can talk...but not here. We have to go somewhere private or something. Trey has Loyal and Aiden today and they're supposed to be back soon. I can't risk y'all running into each other, not here anyway, not in front of his nephew and my son."

"Fine. Come on, let's go."

I waited for her to grab her coat and lock up her apartment before we headed down to my car. Once we were both inside and had our seat belts on, I drove out to this place she told me was generally always quiet and parked up. Thankfully this car is a rental and has fully tinted windows so no one will know that it is us. That'd be the last thing either of us need.
