I knocked on the door and stood still, looking down. The door opened and I saw a familiar pair of slipper coming into my view.
"Y/N." Rose's voice a mixture of happiness and confusion.
I looked up and stared into her eyes. When she saw my lifeless face with tears rolling down my cheek, worry covered her face. "What happened, Y/N?" She eagerly asked. I didn't say anything just stood there without moving. "Come inside." She ushered me inside and shut the door. "What's wrong?" She turned back to me.
Then I broke down. Sobs and cries accompanied my tears. I couldn't take it anymore. She hugged me and I cried on her shoulders. I felt her patting my head, trying to comfort me. She said something I didn't hear. I could only hear the cries in my ears and everything else was foreign. We stayed like this for minutes then she gently made me sit on the couch. I couldn't stop crying. I wiped my tears but new tears found their way into my eyes immediately. I felt Rose's worried eyes on me as she filed someone's number. A knock came at the door. Rose opened it and my friends rushed in.
"Y/N, are you okay?" Jisoo asked and everyone sat around me.
I shook my head and continued to sob silently.
"What happened?" Lisa asked Rose.
"She won't say anything." Rose teared up.
"Y/N, tell us what happened, please." Jennie pleaded.
I opened my mouth but couldn't form any words, only sobs and cries erupted. They all hugged me, tightly, as if telling me everything was going to be fine.
"Don't cry, Y/N." A tear rolled down Jisoo's cheek.
"Please." Jennie and Lisa cried too.
I tried to speak but it was like I had lost my voice. I wanted to tell them I was okay but nothing came out of my mouth.
"Let's sleep; we are all tired." Rose wiped her tears. "We'll talk in the morning."
We all nodded and slept in her room. The bed was big so we all slept together.
The warmth of their bodies calmed me down. I missed them. I was never going to leave them. I closed my eyes and instantly drifted off to sleep as I was surrounded by the people I loved and who loved me.
The next morning I woke up surrounded by my friends. I smiled, looking at their sleeping faces. Then I carefully sat up not wanting to disturb them. I leaned against the bed. I had no intention of getting out of bed so soon.
As I was thinking, I recalled the last night and all the freshness vanished and grief covered me. I covered my mouth so that my sobs couldn't be heard. I didn't want to interrupt my friends' sleep. I put my face in my hand and exhaled and wiped the tears, calming myself. When I looked up I saw Jisoo coming into the room. She saw me and smiled. I smiled back but it was a fake smile, hiding my pain and loss.
She put the tray of food on the table. "Good morning, Y/N. How are you feeling?" She regarded me with concerned eyes.
"Morning." My voice was hoarse and feeble. I cleared my throat. "I'm fine."
"Are you hungry?" She politely asked.
I nodded.
"I prepared breakfast. Let's eat together." She woke everyone up.
They all sat up and rubbed their eyes. They smiled at me. I tried to smile back but failed. We ate on the bed silently. No one said a word. The quietness wasn't awkward it was just silent, not even the sound of breathing was heard. That time I realised how much silence said. My friends exchanged worried glances and turned to me after eating.
