CHAPTER 4: Broccoli

REECE'S POV

"Ba't puro dahon 'to, Channie? Kambing ba tayo?"

Ang akma kong pagsubo sa lettuce ay natigil nung nagreklamo si Caden sa pagkain. Just like what I've commanded the chef, the table is full of leafy meals like sauted spinach, stir fry vegies, vegetable salad, broccoli with feta cheese and green bean sautè.

Kitang kita ko sa mukha ni Caden ang pagkadismaya. He's pouting his lips while holding the spoon and fork in his hands and have the white napkin placed in his collar.

Binaba ko ang tinidor na hawak ko. "Stop complaining and eat." Utos ko at mas lalo siyang lumabi.

I continued my eating and even if he doesn't like the food infront of him he started eating.

Hindi ko mapigilang sumulyap sulyap sakanya habang pilit niyang nilulunok ang isang kutsara ng spinach.

Leafy vegetables really isn't his thing.

Kumutsara siya ng broccoli with cheese. Tiningnan niya ng masinsinan ang pagkaing 'yon at inamoy amoy.

I looked away, pinipigilang mapangiti sa ginagawa niya. Dad is really right. He is different from the rest because he's extremely weird.

He opened his mouth and ate the broccoli. I saw how his face were filled with disgustingness. He looks like he's going to puke anytime.

"How is it?" I decided to ask in the midst of his chewing. Tumaas ang dalawa niyang kilay habang dahan dahang ngumunguya. "Masarap ba?" Nahihiya siyang umiling. "That's my favorite." His eyes narrowed hearing those words from me. Mabilis siyang tumango tango at binawi ang pag-iling kanina. "Is it good?" He nodded with a thumbs up. "Swallow it then."

Mas lalong nanlaki ang mga mata niya. Alam kong hindi niya gusto ang kinakain niya ngayon pero kahit ganun pa man ay pinilit niya 'tong lunukin. Kitang kita ko ang pagngiwi niya. He's about to puke. "S-Sarap, Channie." Pinilit niyang ngumiti saka nilagok ang isang baso ng tubig.

I nodded and hid my amused smile.

He's kinda fun to mess with.

"I'll be resting now." Anunsyo ko nung matapos ang hapunan namin. Kaagad namang tayo si Caden at lumapit sakin. "You'll be sleeping in that stock house, understand?" Utos ko at walang pag-alinlangan siyang tumango.

He's like an obedient puppy.

Ikinagulat ko ang inasta niyang 'yon. "I'll be going, then." Dala dala ang coat ng suit na hinubad ko kanina ay tumalikod na ako.

I walked straight to the stairs. On my halfway up I find myself turning my head towards him. Matamis ang ngiting nakapanood siya sakin sabay kaway. "Goodnight, Channie. Bukas ulit! Babye!"

Tumango lang ako at nagpatuloy na sa pag-akyat. When I reached the second floor I went directly to my room. It has a King Size bed with a theme that matches my likes. Dumiretso ako papunta sa bathroom at naligo. After cooling myself with water I stepped out of the shower and get on my pajamas.

While drying my hair with a towel, I sat on my mini office and opened my laptop. Naisipan kong buksan ang file na sinend sakin ni Lucas. It's about Caden's profile. Once again, I scanned on the pictures. I searched for something that would prove that he is not just some innocent puppy who wags his tale for me. But I found nothing but all of his cheerful faces.

He's not rich. He doesn't even have any of his parents yet he is always smiling.

Nilibot ko ang paningin sa buong kwarto ko. It's big that even fifty people can accommodate it.
