CHAPTER 15: Phone

REECE'S POV

"Nadispatsa na ang mga katawan. Since the road that you took is not so crowded and a remote street, there were only few people that saw what happened." Onyx reported as soon as he entered my office. "Like as what you commanded, we sealed their mouths with money. Wala ng dapat ipag-alala, Reece."

"Deleted na din lahat ng CCTV footages at ang mga milyon milyong tweets tungkol sa pagpunta mo sa Jollibee, boss." Ang sinabing 'yon ni Lucas ay siyang muling bumuhay sa nakakahiyang sinapit ko kanina.

"Didn't I fucking tell you to monitor the media, Lucas?"

"Ginawa ko 'yon syempre, boss. Wala ngang ni isang picture na naupload sa socials, puro mga tweets lang at text posts. No images to prove na nandun ka talaga." pag-eexplain niya pa. "At isa pa mabilis na kumalat, eh. Pero naregulate naman namin sa loob ng limang minuto."

"But why were you inside Jollibee in the first place?" takang tanong ni Onyx.

Nagbuntonghininga ako sabay lingon kay Caden na kumakain ng hotdog sa dining table kaharap ang laptop ni Lucas at kausap ang mga kaibigan niya.

"Oh, I see.." Onyx nodded in realization with a playful smirk.

As much as I want to argue with them about the Jollibee issue, I have a more bigger problem to deal with.

"Any reports about the bullet?" I opened the topic about what happened few hours ago. The bullet that was shot in my shoulder was sucessfully removed before it can penetrate my bone.

"The forensic team studied it, no trademarks or brands that was sealed on the metal in order for us to not know what company it was made." Onyx aswered. "But still, we were able to identify it by studying its details. The shape, structure and composition were identical to Sumiyoshi-kai's bullet."

My brows knitted upon hearing the yakuza name. "Sumiyoshi-kai again?"

Sumiyoshi-kai is second to the biggest Japanese Yakuza which is having a grudge against Magnus Empire. They have been making drugs like what my mafia has been doing. There sales are low because customers prefer my drugs.

"Hindi ba tayo titira pabalik, boss?" Seryosong tanong ni Lucas. Walang pang-aasar ang tono niya kaya masasabi kong galit siya. "Muntikan ng mamatay ang asawa mo. Tawagan ko na ba ang mga Heneral?"

Generals, the leader of my underground military.

Umiling ako. "Like what we did in the past, we won't attack back because it'll start a war. Now that I have something to lose. Now I have Caden, I don't  wanna take the risk." nilingon kong muli si Caden na tuwang tuwa kausap si Zane.

"Oo, Zone! Kumain kami ng Jabilee! Andami inorder ni Channie! Tas binili niya buong bilihan ays krim! Ang yaman pala niya, Zone!" He acted like we were not in a life and death situation just a few hours ago.

I once again, heaved a deep sigh. "Until now I still can't believe what happened earlier."

"Ang astig nga nun, boss eh. Napanood ko sa CCTV! Ang galing ni Caden umasinta!" namamanghang sambit ni Lucas.

"Yeah, that was awesome. It made him look sexy." Onyx added with a smirk that made me look at the both of them with unbelievable stare

"Astig?! Sexy?!" Singhal ko. "Caden just shot twenty armed men on the forehead and now he's eating hotdogs!" I exclaimed as I turn my head at Caden who heard my voice and is currently staring at me with a smile.

"Tawag mo ko, Channie?"

Hindi ko siya sinagot at ibinaling sa iba ang tingin. I massaged my forehead.
