"Second class is a charm, right?"

It was now three hours later and they were back at school. It was time for Eunjin's second class, health.

Jihan looked at Eunjin from afar, a comforting smile grazing her lips. "If you need anything, you have me and the others on speed-dial."

Eunjin nodded, looking away from the mirror. Her dainty fingers gripped the thin backpack strap, deeply inhaling before releasing the breath. "Alright, I guess it's now or never."

The two girls exited the large white house, the sun shining brightly above them as they made way to the car.

Puffy white clouds accompanied the shining sun in the blue sky, creating sight for the chirping birds flying by.

Eunjin sat anxiously in the passenger seat, caressing the necklace around her neck. She watched each of the road signs pass by in a blur, waiting for their arrival to school once again.

When they finally arrived, the two girls exited the car. Jihan turned towards the lunchroom, waiting to see if Eunjin would be joining her.

"Oh, no, I have to go catch up on some stuff with my literature teacher really quickly," Eunjin frowned, stuffing her phone into her back pocket.

Jihan stood up straight, turning back towards Eunjin. "But you left literature class earlier today?"

Eunjin nodded, "yeah but since I wasn't there earlier she wants to catch me up on some stuff before I come back tomorrow."

Jihan nodded, "alright. Text me if you need anything else. See you later."

Eunjin waved goodbye to Jihan as she walked back towards the large building, once again pulling out her phone as she walked.

She pulled her backpack onto her chest, looking back from the space in front of her to the backpack as she walked.

She fidgeted with the headphones until they unraveled, attaching them to her phone to distract herself from the world around her.

She hummed to herself as she walked to the classroom, keeping her eyes away from anyone else around her.

"Ah, Eunjin. Thank you for coming in," her teacher smiled sweetly, grabbing a piece of paper as she pushed her glasses up.

"I wanted to talk to you about the seating schedule. The place where everyone sat earlier is where they will be seated for the rest of the school year. The rows are in desks of two so whoever you end up sitting by will also be your partner for any work."

Eunjin nodded, walking over to her teacher's desk as she pointed at a blank space on the paper. "Here is where you will be seated. Sorry you couldn't pick but since everyone else has assigned their seats there isn't much of an option left."

"It's okay," the young adult smiled. She recognized the seat as the same one she had been seated in earlier before she had left.

She assumed no one took the seat since by the time she left class was already getting ready to actually begin, leaving everyone occupied with their own seat choices already.

"That's really all I needed you for. You can get going now but if you have any questions about the class or such you can email me and I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible."

Eunjin nodded once again, "I understand. Thank you, Professor."

The older lady smiled, waving to Eunjin as she exited the classroom, once again placing her headphones in her ears as she made her way to the medical and health building.

It was a quiet walk with the music playing in her ears, drowning out the sound of everyone and everything around her.

She strolled down a few steps as she walked into her new college class, finding her way through different rows until getting to a seat she felt was a comfortable distance away from the front of the classroom but wasn't too far she'd have trouble hearing or seeing.

As she watched the professor walk in, she took out the white earbuds, packing them along with her phone back into her backpack as she pulled out her iPad and pen, ready for notes.

The class was already in session for nearly five minutes when the doors busted open, a dark-haired boy a bit out of breath, walking inside.

"Na Jaemin, it's nice to see you've finally joined us for class today. Take a seat please, sir."

Eunjin recognized Jaemin as the same boy who had taken her to the infirmary the prior day. She looked away from him as he began walking down the steps to find his seat, finding him uninteresting.

She hadn't realized until a few seconds later that he was nearing her until she felt a new presence from beside her.
