"Nice to see you all again, class."

Eunjin sat up straight when the literature professor walked into the classroom, her head held high as she spoke to the large group of students.

Eunjin was sat at the same desk from yesterday, her right foot tapping softly against the ground as she bit habitually on her right thumbs nail.

There wasn't anyone beside her, confusing her. She remembered her professor saying there weren't any other places left to sit so she had assumed she'd have a partner. But they were still nowhere to be seen.

Her professor seemed unfazed at the few empty chairs, her many years of teaching leaving her to understand her students could be busy with other things at the moment.

"Our first project of the year is called the Chrysanthemum Project. Chrysanthemums are a type of flower that is said to represent joy, fidelity, and life."

She looked around the room, excitement in her eyes seeing the new faces.

"For this project, you and your desk buddy will write about all of the joyous moments in your lives. If you or your partner can't think of any, I want you to go out and make some together. In the process of spending time together, I hope that you will grow close in friendship."

Eunjin was quiet as she sat still, her right hand moving in slow circular motions as she doodled in the corner of her paper.

"So for this project, it is mandatory that you spend at least an hour outside of class every week either talking, hanging out, or something of the sort. This project will be five weeks long."

The professor continued, "you and your partner will be given one journal and one disposable camera. You will use this journal to document each day you are together and anything you have learned. In the front, there are specific questions that can get you started. The camera will be used to take pictures of your time together and placed into the journal."

The professor took a minute to hand out all of the journals and cameras, taking some time to answer any questions.

"I don't know, I feel kinda bad."

Chaeyoung sighed over the phone, "Jisoo, we don't have much of a choice here. We have to keep her safe and we can't do that if she knows who we are. Just not yet."

Jisoo let out an exasperated exhale, pinching the bridge of her nose as she leaned back against her bed. "I know, I know, it's just... it's so sad when I think about it."

"What do you mean?"

"I know we have to do it to keep her safe but what happens if she begins regaining all of her memories too soon? If she found out-"

"She's not going to find out anything, calm down. Don't think this is easy on the rest of us. It's hard pretending to be in America. Do you realize how close she was to finding out I lied the other day?"

"Yeah," Jisoo chuckled, "you should definitely try learning the time difference between America and Japan because we don't need another slip-up."

"Yeah, yeah, I know."

"Jihan's probably going through it the worst right now. She feels even worse about it than me. Especially because they live together."

Chaeyoung hummed, "that's understandable. Has she talked to Taeyong about her position in the mission yet?"

"No. She wants to do it but at the same time, she's super hesitant. It's so hard pretending, though. We aren't spies, we're assassins."

Chaeyoung rolled her eyes, "you do know why we're put on this mission, don't pretend you don't. I'll be back in a few days just get some rest and we'll talk more when I arrive."

"But if we end the call, I'll fall asleep," Jisoo groaned in displeasure, sliding her shoes off her feet.

"Don't you got school work to do?"

"I already finished it all."

"Go talk to one of the guys-"

Jisoo scoffed, "why would you even say something like that? Disgraceful. Go finish your mission, I deserve a nap now."

Chaeyoung laughed, "fine, fine. I'll talk to you later, tell the others I said hi."

"Will do, bye now."
