Ankita's P.O.V.

The next morning, I stood, holding the dress Ayaan gave to me in front of the mirror. "What's up?" Preeti asked coming behind me. I frowned and said, "Preeti, help me please. Ayaan gave me this and asked me to wear it today. I have never worn a dress. You know that I hate dresses. What should I do?" Turning me around, she held my shoulders and said, "First thing's first, you always listen to your partner's demands. It's the core principle of a relationship. Never, no matter how uncomfortable you get, never refuse do what they ask you to do. Second is, there is always a first time, right? What you never did until now, you can do it! Besides, it's only a dress and for one day." I listened to her advice and thought that it made sense. "Yeah, you're right," I said. She nodded saying, "I'm always right." But then the next thing came. "But it's so cold outside. If I wear this and go out, I will freeze to death!" I said. "Oh God Ani! Why are you so scared?" she exclaimed. "But..." I started but she said, "Here's what. Wear a jacket and boots. It will not only complement the dress but you will also remain warm." "Yes, why didn't I think about this?" I said. "Wait one minute," she said and turned around. I looked at her going to the cupboard and she took out one of her jeans jacket. Coming back to me, she handed it over and said, "Wear this." I took it and went to the bathroom. The dress fitted perfectly. Ayaan bought the exact size. I wore the jacket and went outside. Preeti sat on the bed and looked at me. "Woah!" she exclaimed and whistled. I shook my head and went to my clothes. Taking out a pair of knee high boots, I completed the look and stood in front of the mirror, combing my hair. "Leave it open. It will keep you more warm," she said behind me. I nodded and obeyed. Turning to her, I said, "Ok, I'm going. I'll see you this evening." "Enjoy," she said. I left the room and looked at Ayaan outside the gate. Smiling, I began approaching him with my eyes fixed on him for his reaction but he frowned at me. Standing in front of him, I looked down at myself and asked, "Am I not looking nice?" He stared at me with the same frown and said, "You look fascinating. Even more beautiful than I imagined."

I smiled and bent my head. "Shall we go?" I asked. He nodded and as I turned to walk, he held my hand in his and looked at me. Intertwining our fingers, we walked along the road. "Are you cold?" he asked me. I shook my head in a no saying, "You are with me. How can I feel cold?" "Yeah you're right. I'm so hot," he said. "You are so full of yourself," I said. He kissed my hairline as we continued on the way. "So, what's the plan for today?" I asked. "I am going to spend the entire day pampering you," he said. I smiled and then remembered. Stopping, I hit my forehead and said, "Oh no!" "What?" he asked. "I promised Uncle Jason and Namu that I would have lunch with them today," I said. He frowned and said, "Then put it off for some other day." "I can't I already promised them and they must be preparing for me. It would look awful if I don't go," I said. He dropped his shoulders and said, "Fine, then, I'll also come." Looking at him in awe, I asked, "Are you serious?" "Yeah! Why not! How can I miss this opportunity to find out how you were as a child?" he said. I smiled and held his hand. "Are you sure you are willing to come?" I asked confirming. He kissed my knuckles saying, "Yes I am." "Great! Then we will go in a few hours. Until then, if you have planned anything for me this morning, you are more than welcome to do so," I said. "Of course I have planned something," he said leaning in towards me. I smiled and turned my head away pushing him back. "Why do you always stop me?" he asked. "Did I stop you last night?" I asked. "Then, why not episode two. Right now..." he said. "Episode two will come after. First, let's get ourselves off the road," I said and walked away. He ran up to me and held onto my hand. We walked to Sandu's stall, had a cup of tea and then went on our way once more. "Ankita," Ayaan said holding my hand back on the road. I stopped and looked at him. He looked at the road which led to Maa's house. "Shall we go to your Maa's house for a while?" he asked. "Do you want to go?" I asked. "Let's go," he said. I smiled and nodded. We walked two minutes and was standing in front of the house.
