Ankita's P.O.V.

I went to Charlie's office for my lunch break as he asked me to do earlier. I knocked on his door and went inside to find him sitting back in his chair tensed and in some deep thoughts. "Charlie?" I said to gain his attention. He came out of his thinking and frowned at me. "Yes Ankita. Come sit," he said. He called the receptionist and ordered that no one enters his cabin. I was confused. "Ankita, not only as your boss but as a friend, if I ask you a question, will you answer it truthfully?" He asked. "Of course," I said. "Is there some problem between you and AVM? Do you know him from before?" He asked. I looked at him shocked but I understood where these questions were stemming from. His phone began ringing but he didn't answer the call. As I was about to answer his questions, it rang again and again he left it ringing. To avoid answering the question directly, I asked, "Is it because of what happened in his room today?" "Not just that. It's much more than that. He even knows that you went to a prestigious college in Mumbai but didn't graduate. He knows that you topped your class and won a scholarship. When he first came here, he kept asking about you and the way he held your hand back today, it just seemed so confident and effortless. Like he has done it before and is comfortable doing it again," he said as I listened in utter disbelief. Ayaan told Charlie about my college in Mumbai? How can I avoid this now? "Ankita..." he said holding my hand and his door flung open as Ayaan rushed into the office looking furious.

Ayaan's P.O.V.

I tried calling Charlie for him to send Ankita with my lunch but after calling his office phone two times, he didn't answer. I went downstairs and to the receptionist. "Hi. Do you know where the manager is?" I asked. "Sir, Charlie is in his office," she said. "Ok thanks," I said and turned around to go but the girl stopped me saying, "Sir, Charlie is in a private meeting. He has clearly instructed that no one disturbs him." "Ok. Do you know where Ankita is?" I asked. "Sir, she is with Charlie in his cabin," she said. I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists in fury. I began rushing to his cabin as the receptionist kept telling me behind that I couldn't go. I entered his cabin to see him holding Ankita's hand and this made me even more furious. Ankita looked at me but then, like she developed, looked away and stood up. "I'm so sorry. The receptionist told me that you all had a private meeting going on here but I still came," I said sarcastically. "Do you need something sir?" Charlie asked me. "Ankita," I said. Their faces dropped. "I mean, I need Ankita to bring me my lunch," I said. "But sir, there are many other staff members to do that," he said. "Yes but now Miss Ankita is my employee, right? She's no longer your employee," I said. Ankita looked at him shocked as Charlie looked nervous. "Oh no! He didn't tell you? He has fired you from the job so that you can work for me," I said. "Ankita...let me explain..." he said but I butted in saying, "From today on, you will be my personal assistant." "I'm sorry sir, but I can't accept this job," she said bending her head. "It's not multiple choice baby. You only have one answer to that question, you are accepting," I said. "If you don't want me working in this hotel, then it's fine. But I will not work with anyone else," she said to Charlie, "Thank you for the opportunity." She turned around and left annoyed. "Ankita..." Charlie said going behind her. I smirked. I came in here so furious but now, I was so satisfied.

I also followed them as they went into a locker room. Ankita took her clothes and went to the bathroom. She came out and took her belongings as Charlie followed her trying to explain himself. "Ankita," he said holding back her hand as she was leaving. I glared at him. "Just let me explain myself," he said. Ankita turned to him and listened. "I don't have a choice. If I keep you here, AVM threatened to have me fired from my job. I was trying to get to this point in my office. You know how much I appreciate you," he said getting closer to her. He held her shoulders and said, "I'm sorry. Please, try and understand me." She looked up at him and into his eyes which made me irritated since she refused to look into mine and said, "I understand. But I can't work for Aya...AVM." "It's just until this concert is finished. After that, everything will go back to normal. It's just a matter of ten days. Please, do it for your family at least," he said convincing her. She remained silent and nodded. "Thank you. And just remember that I am always here for you whenever you need me," he said. I walked up to them and said, "If your scene is done, can I carry out mine? You, bring my lunch to my room. You all have already made me late on my lunch. Make it snappy." I turned and walked away smiling. "Well played AVM," I said in my head. I went back to my room and waited for Ankita to arrive. Soon, there was a knock on the door and I sat up saying, "Come in." Ankita opened the door and came inside with my food. She immediately started setting the table as I looked at her. She was clearly unhappy to be there. "You looked better in a uniform. I think I will make one for you," I said preparing to eat. "Look at the diary on the bed and memorise my meetings and schedules. From today, you will be handling me," I said. She looked at me flushed in red, exactly what I wanted.
