Ayaan's P.O.V.
I reached Goa and the Taj Resort and Convention Centre. Getting out at the entrance, a valet took our car to park and Aarav came to me excited. "Dude, this is going to be epic! I mean, we are at Taj! It's going to be so much fun," he said filled with enthusiasm while I sulked. "What's wrong? Why is your mood so off?" He asked shaking my shoulder. "Nothing, let's go," I said and walked inside. I looked around and everyone were normally doing their work without any building up chaos that I was there. I went to the receptionist and rang the small bell. The girl looked at me and catching herself, her mouth opened and she stood clearly starstruck. "AVM...you...you...areee...really...here..." she said with her eyes wide. "Tell me my room number," I said with a straight face. "One minute sir," she said panting. She held the phone to her ear and spoke, "Charlie, he is here." She hung up and continued to stare at me. I turned my back to her and looked around the lavish lobby. Everything was absolutely posh. A young man came up to me with a smile with a name tag, 'Charlie.' "Are you the manager?" I asked. "Yes sir, Charlie," he said extending his hand. I shook it asking, "Where is my room?" "Umm...right this way sir," he said and escorted me to the elevator. By now, everyone noticed me and there were screams and cheers. After signing everyone's autograph, I proceeded into the elevator. I went up to the second floor and was led to the presidential suite for my accommodation. Entering, the room was spic and span. Everything was in it's particular spot and the room was nice. "Sir, if you need anything at all, please just press five on the intercom. It's my number," he said. I nodded. "Enjoy your stay sir," he said before leaving.
Walking more into the room, I looked around and something came under my shoes. Removing it, I looked at the name tag written, 'Ankita.' My heart beat increased with anxiety thinking that she was really there. I looked at the name plate for a while and immediately went to the phone. Dialling five, I waited and soon Charlie answered, "Hello." "AVM. I have a question," I said panting, unable to control my racing heart, "Is there an Ankita Kapoor working in this hotel?" There was a pause of silence and then came the answer, "No sir. Unfortunately, there is no one by that name here." "Are you sure? Can you double check? Ankita Kapoor," I said. "Sir, there is an Ankita working here but her surname...." he said and his words slowly died out before saying, "We don't have her surname sir." "What do you mean? Don't you know your employees' names?" I asked getting annoyed. "Sir, she haven't written her surname in our form. We only have her first name," he said. I sighed and said, "Ok, thanks. Send a bottle of whiskey in my room please." "Yes sir," he said and I hung up. I looked at the name tag and said gritting my teeth, "If this is really you, I promise, I will make your life unbearable to live." I held it in my fists and controlled my anger for now. My bottle arrived and I immediately began drinking. After a few hours, Aarav finally arrived and was looking joyous. "Bro, you're not going to believe this. I got a date with a chic tonight. God, she is so hot," he said coming to me. I gulped down my drink and listened to him with one ear while everything went straight out the other. "Ayaan, you are at it again. Enough of the drinking. We are in Goa, at least enjoy yourself," he said disappointed. Holding out my hand to him, I said, "Keys." Shaking his head, he said, "No way. I am not going to let you leave this hotel this drunk." "Aarav, give me my bloody car keys," I said. He hesitated for a while and handed me.
I took a hoodie and wore it on top a cap and sunglasses to disguise. Leaving the hotel room, I pushed my filled flask into my pocket and walked out the hotel. Speeding through the rain, my eyes were blurring with the water dashing on the glass.
Ankita's P.O.V.
I was sitting and looking at the rain pouring down. Lightning stroke and thunder burst after every minute. Rohan came to me and held my hand. Smiling, I stooped down and scooped him up in my arms. "What's wrong? Why are you sad?" He asked cutely. "I am missing my mummy," I said. He frowned and looked at me. "Do you want me to become your mummy?" He asked. I smiled and hugged him. "You don't need to. Just hug me tightly and I'll be alright," I said. "Did she like the rain?" He asked. "She loved the rains and snow," I said. "She saw snow?" He asked excited. I nodded and went with him to the sofa. Holding him there, I said, "We lived in Manali and snow falls there." "Is it beautiful?" He asked. "It's the most beautiful thing you could see," I said. "Will you carry me?" He asked. "Of course!" I said. "Where are you planning to go?" Priya asked coming with some tea. "Manali," Rohan said. "Really? Who is carrying you?" She asked. "Ankita," he said, "To see snow." "Ankita, you have spoilt my son," Priya said flipping through a magazine. He played with my ring on my chain until he slept away on my lap. "I'm carrying him on the bed," I said and did so. Laying besides him, I took my sleeping pill and waited for the effect to start.
Ayaan's P.O.V.
I reached a beach and got out the car. The rain hadn't stopped even a bit. I walked along the seaside with my flask and stumbling footsteps. Looking up at the sky, I shouted, "What do you think? I will not find her? I will! And I will punish her!" I sat on the sand and continued my drinking. My heart ached at her memories but they kept coming back. After so long, I was in pain once more. Was it because of the hope I got with the nameplate? Whatever it was, I wanted to see her. I wanted her in front of me. So that I can get solace by punishing her. "I will continue looking for you until the day I die Ankita. I know that you are alive and somewhere. If it means searching the span of this earth, I will and I will find you one day," I said with tears in my eyes. I laid back on the sand and stared at the sky, getting soaked.
The next morning, I opened my eyes and to my surprise, I was in my hotel room. "Good morning rockstar," Aarav greeted me with a cup of black coffee. "How did I reach back?" I asked confused. "What do you think?" He asked sitting on the sofa. "You brought me back," I said in an obvious tone. "Exactly. Now get up. We have a meeting with the sponsors of the show. And if you cancel this, it's not going to be great for your concert," he said. "Get my clothes," I said sipping my coffee. "Yes boss," he said and got up. "Aarav," I said stopping him, "Thanks for the coffee." "Thank the hotel," he said. I took a pillow and threw it at him giggling and going to the cupboard. "By the way, who are the sponsors?" I asked getting out of the bed. "Some Rajeev Companies and normal organisations, etc." He said. He handed me my clothes. "Do I really have to meet them? Can't you?" I asked reluctantly. "No," he said. "This was the worst part of having concerts. Meetings. Man, I'm a singer. My job is only to perform," I said going into the bathroom. "Who chose this career?" He said. I took a bath and got ready. I was about to call room service for breakfast when Aarav came back. "What are you doing?" He asked. "Ordering breakfast," I said. He came and took the phone and hung up. "What's wrong with you?" I asked. "I have already ordered breakfast for us in the restaurant downstairs," he said. "You could have at least asked me where do I want to eat," I complained. "Come on Ayaan, only for today. From tomorrow, your secretary will be rejoining her job so you can boss her around. But for today, deal with me," he said. I frowned and went downstairs with him. Fans flocked in the lobby area for pictures and autographs, creating chaos. Glaring at Aarav, I said, "Well done smarty." I smiled and obliged for some persons to take my pictures. Charlie came to me and escorted me to the restaurant. "Sir, I hope that you had a good night's sleep," he said smiling, "Your breakfast will be here shortly. If you need anything else, then please tell me." I nodded.
As he was leaving, I called him back as it came to my head and I asked, "Is the Ankita girl employee here?" "No sir, she has a family emergency so she isn't here. Any problem sir?" He asked. "No, you can go," I said. She has a family emergency? Does that mean that she is not the Ankita I am expecting her to be? Or perhaps she has some relatives here in Goa that she never mentioned about. "Bro, what is all this about?" Aarav asked clearly surprised and confused. "Nothing," I said. "Ayaan, don't tell me that you are expecting to meet Ankita here," he said disappointed. "Just eat your food," I said. My mind was far away from food right now. I just wanted to confirm if this girl is my Ankita or not. Why didn't she give her surname? And who is her family? After a halfway breakfast, I proceeded to the conference hall for the meeting with my sponsors and there also, my mind wasn't concentrating. I just have to wait and see when she comes back. After my meeting, I went back to my room while Aarav went to visit the performing site. When Nikita arrives tomorrow, she will work out my practicing timings and everything else.
