Ankita's P.O.V.
As Priya came to take me home from the hospital, my eyes were fixed on the door. She kept packing my bag and I couldn't help but wonder why Ayaan didn't come. "Ready?" She asked. I nodded. "What's wrong? Are you feeling pain?" She asked sitting next to me. "No. I'm fine. Is it just you that came or..." I said. She smiled at me and said, "Was someone else supposed to come as well?" "I'm just asking," I said. "Everyone is at the house preparing for you," she said. "Oh...and Ayaan?" I asked. "He is included in everyone too," she said teasing me. "Whatever, let's go," I said. She helped me out of the hospital and into Ayaan's car. "Are you comfortable?" She asked. I nodded and she closed the door. Soon, we were on our way home but the thought that Ayaan chose to remain with everyone else than come to get me bothered me. I have been observing him for the past few days and I know that he is worried about something. There is something on his mind that he doesn't want to share. I couldn't help but to think if it was something about me and if I was causing him any difficulty or inconvenience. As we were reaching the house, Priya tied a blindfold around my eyes, leaving me confused. "What is this for?" I asked. "To not ruin the surprise," she said. I could feel the car stopping and she left. The door on my side opened and she held my hand. "Come," she said. I got out of the car and held onto her tightly. "Careful," she said as she made me take a few steps, holding onto me with all her strength. We stopped. "Ready?" She whispered. I nodded. Slowly, she untied the blindfold and I opened my eyes, adjusted it to the sudden brightness and looked at everyone, dressed up and smiling at me. Behind them was my renovated house, with the most gorgeous garden and like Ayaan and I planned before, a fountain. I was overwhelmed at how they turned it around and it stood beyond my expectations.
"Welcome home, my child," Ayaan's mom said coming to me. "Thank you," I said. I walked through the garden, filled with fragrant flowers and around the fountain. I stopped in front of Ayaan's Dad and said, "Thank you for this." He rested his hand on my head saying, "Perhaps this is the reason I came into this business a long time ago. I had to recreate this house for you. God bless you." I hugged him. I met with everyone else but Ayaan was nowhere. I looked around but couldn't find him. "Where is Ayaan?" I asked whispering to Priya. She smiled at me and carried me to the porch. There, she made me sit and I looked at them all in the garden, smiling up at me. One hand held my shoulder and I at once recognised the touch. I smiled, relieved. As I turned around, I looked up at Ayaan smiling with a bouquet of roses in his hands, dressed up nicely in a suit and looking absolutely dashing. He kneeled down in front of me and handed me the flowers. "Why didn't you come to get me from the hospital?" I asked. "I'm sorry. I had to get you something," he said. "What?" I asked. He pushed his hand into his blazer pocket and pulled out a small blue box. My heart throbbed as he opened it to show me the ring he bought three years ago for our engagement. "Will you start over with me from where we stopped off?" He asked. My eyes welled up with tears of joy. "Marry me," he said. I looked at everyone behind as they silently encouraged me to say yes. "Yes," I said. Everyone burst out cheering as he put the ring on my finger. He kissed my hand and looked at me smiling. "I love you," he said hugging me. Breaking the hug, I said finally, "I love you too." "Thank you for accepting me," he said. "My life is on your name, how could I refuse?" I said. We giggled and joined our foreheads together. His parents came to us and his mother blessed us saying, "May you have a long life together and may your love forever remain like this." Nana and Nani came next. "You see, afterall, you too have fallen for our rockstar," Nani said. We laughed. "God bless you both," Nana said.
Ayaan intertwined our fingers together as we looked at everyone having a good time in the garden. "When should I set the date for our wedding?" He asked. "Whenever you are ready," I said. "Shall we go inside and have a pre-nuptial night?" He asked mischievously kissing my cheek. I was embarrassed and pushed him away saying, "What are you doing? Everyone is here." I dared not look at him with shame and he slowly caressed my hand with his finger making me blush harder. "I think we should leave everyone here and go to a hotel. Afterall, Dr. Jain instructed complete bed rest for you," he said. "You're right. We will go to the hotel and I'll fall asleep," I said teasing him. "Hmmm...once you're in my arms," he said. "Hmm..." I hummed mockingly. We chuckled. He sighed and looked at me, tucking away my hair. "How did I get so lucky to have a second chance with you?" He said. "It's simple," I said, "We are destined to be." He kissed my temple and I rested my head on his shoulder and looked at everyone. "Promise me that you won't leave me ever again," he said. I smiled asking, "What if I do?" "I'll die for sure this time," he said. I covered his mouth and frowned at him. Holding my hand, he said smiling, "You won't leave me again. Because this time, I have tied you down early." He rubbed the ring on my finger. "I won't leave you. I love you," I said.
