Jaehwa stepped out of the restroom and closed the door behind, nonchalantly whistling an innocent tune as she looked around for Sahan. Ah, there he is. It didn't take too long to find him now that she knew where he stood. Slowly, she crept towards him and slid up next to him mentally hoping that he hadn't noticed her absence. She softly pinched the sleeve of his coat just in case so that she wouldn't get lost again. God, did she not want to go through that again.
"I see you are back."
Jaehwa jumped at his voice as Sahan looked at her, pursing his lips in displeasure. So he had noticed. I'm in trouble. Flashing him an innocent smile, she replied, "Yeah."
"Where were you?"
Aah, fudge cakes and puddings! "Err... I was in the restroom sir."
"For almost an hour?" Sahan questioned bringing his wrist forward to check the time. She clenched her teeth, "Y-yeah?"
He raised an eyebrow skeptically, "Did you cause any trouble?"
"What? No! Not at all." Jaehwa cried, a little too enthusiastically. He didn't seem to buy it.
"Then why were you in there for so long?"
"Ahaha, that..." She looked around looking for an excuse. God how was she going to explain to him. Closing her eyes, she said the first thing that came to her mind. "I-I had explosive diarrhea!"
Fudge My Life.
Sahan's brows shot up in surprise and he fought to keep his face straight. He awkwardly cleared his throat, "TMI Ms.Han, TMI."
"You wanted to know..." Jaehwa offered with a pained smile. Why me? God, why me?
"Not to that extent..." Sahan was saying when thankfully they got interrupted by a familiar raspy voice.
"Well, well, well... Who do we have here? My dear younger brother?"
Min Yoongi stepped up to them holding a wine glass, a smirk that was one of his classic features adorning his lips. He looked absolutely dashing tonight, in his well-tailored obsidian black suit and stylish hair. Jaehwa could tell that he had put quite an effort into his looks tonight.
"Didn't think you'd be here. Thought you'd do whatever you can now that you are losing the game?" Sahan asked, gesturing towards his get-up.
"Tut, tut, tut...." Yoongi tutted, shaking his head disappointedly. He smirked, "That's your style, Sahan. I'm not you." He replied, his tone patronizing. Sahan's sneer turned to a glower.
"And now that we are on that topic, let me introduce someone to you." Yoongi offered as he waved his hand to a corner and gestured for someone to join him. Jaehwa turned around curiously to find a very familiar-looking man making his way towards them and her breath hitched. Is that-
Her eyes widened. I'm so screwed.
The tall handsome man she had met earlier and had unceremoniously shoved out of the way came to stand next to Yoongi as he turned to Sahan.
"This is Kim Seokjin, my newest secretary." Yoongi introduced. "He is quite skilled. Obtained his education in France and all, you see? And I have especially made sure that he is professional." He threw a brief glance Jaehwa's way. She probably would have come up with some snappy reply for that silent jab towards her but she was too busy watching the new secretary, who had his gaze trained on Sahan. Did he see me? There's no way he didn't see me. Was he going to tell them?
I hope he doesn't. Would he?
Sahan shrugged at his brother, "You can try, I guess. But it's still not going to make much of a difference."
Jaehwa sent a silent cheer towards her boss for that comeback as Yoongi nodded. "We'll see."
"We'll see." Sahan nodded back.
"Mon Dieu! Ah, pardon me, Mr.Min. I think it's time," The new secretary exclaimed looking at his wristwatch.
"What's it, secretary?" Yoongi asked, his eyes still on his younger brother.
"Sir, I believe we have wasted enough of our time here," He began vaguely gesturing towards the party and Sahan. "We have better things to do after all."
"Duly noted," Yoongi replied with a smirk, turning to Sahan. "You heard him. Then." He made a gesture with his head in greeting before he turned back and left, his secretary following his suit as Jaehwa and Sahan stood watching.
Jaehwa glared at her opponents. She was about to entertain the thought that maybe that new secretary hadn't noticed her and had already forgotten about what happened earlier when he proved her wrong. The said secretary unexpectedly turned back, flashing a mischievous grin as he met her eyes. He then shot her a wink before he turned back left with his boss. Her jaw hung open.
So he had seen her. What's with that creepy smile and wink? Wait a second.
She gasped. No way... He knew.
He knew who she was. All of that was on purpose!
"That- That jerk!!"
"My feelings exactly, however Ms.Han, I would like it if you refrained from yelling it out in public. I have an image to keep which you have already tarnished enough." Sahan remarked quietly, dark eyes still lingering at the place where the duo had left.
"Ms.Han," He began looking back at her. "We need to step up our game. That guy..." He trailed off, eyes straying back to the exit where they had left.
"Is quite dangerous."
