Betrayed

The petite blond woman leaned over the railing of the Ferris wheel compartment. Giggling contentedly, she turned around and faced him with a brilliant smile that could almost rival the stars.

"Jin-Jin! We're on a Ferris wheel! Do you know what that means?" She asked, bouncing up and down on her seat. Seokjin brought a hand to his chin and acted like he was deeply contemplating it. "Hmm, I don't know."

"You don't know?" The girl asked, her smile stretching far and wide with the slightest hint of mischief. Seokjin suppressed a smile. "No."

"Really?" She pressed.

"Really." He replied.

"Really, really?"

"Really, really." He affirmed. Slowly leaning back into his seat he looked at her, mischief oozing into his smile. "Care to enlighten me about it?"

Her smile turned into a smirk.

"With pleasure."

"Seokjin! Please, I- I did not mean to do it."

Seokjin's fingers trembled. The world was spinning. He couldn't hear her. He couldn't even see where he was going. All he saw was the darkness that was slowly seeping into his vision. All he felt was the pain of his heart-wrenching. It was all a lie.

A lie that hurt more than anything.

Seokjin stumbled out of the room, his feet unsteady and his mind a tumult of emotions. Betrayal. That was what hurt him the most. She broke his trust.

"Seokjin p-please. You're the only one for me... " Seokjin hazily felt someone grab the tip of his shirt sleeves and tug on it, restricting him from getting out. Out of the haze of his mind, he whispered out. "Let go of me."

"S-seokjin?"

"I SAID LET GO OF ME!" He screamed as he yanked his hand away from her grasp.

How could she... just how?

How many of the memories he had were a lie? How many of them were true?

It hurt. It...

hurt.

At some random bar in Seoul, Seokjin slammed his fifth glass of whiskey on his table. He thought the alcohol would help. He thought getting drunk might give him the peace of mind he so desperately wanted but annoyingly enough, that day he just couldn't seem to get drunk as if his body was trying to fight against his emotions and make him face the reality. Why couldn't he ever seem to get peace? Jungkook on the other hand already was on his way to getting wasted. At Seokjin's sudden act of aggression, he asked. "Okay Hyung, what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong Jungkook." Came the prompt reply.

"Certainly it's not nothing. I found out that Eunsoo texted you." Jungkook stated firmly, a slight, almost undetectable slur entering into his speech.

"You probably went around playing with people's hearts like you do every time Eunsoo is brought up." He began talking boldly, surprising him. "Judging by that red mark on your face, I guess you got slapped. From the looks of it, it was from someone whose opinion you deeply cared about."

Jungkook didn't know where he was getting the sudden courage from. Every time he brought up the subject before, he stumbled and stuttered like a dumb person since he couldn't handle seeing his Hyung's dark side. Seokjin always turned different when she was mentioned.

Jin gritted his teeth as he snapped, "I don't care about her or her opinion! I don't regret anything!"

Jungkook scoffed before he drank his whole glass of alcohol in one go. "Who are you kidding Hyung? You're regretting it. You regret it more than anything right now."

Seokjin was speechless. Partly because of the fact that Jungkook was spot on and he didn't have a reply.

"You're so hung up on the past that you don't even realize what's going on Hyung," Jungkook spat out. He swore he was going to regret it the first thing he turned sober but at that moment he just felt good to open up and rant about all that he had ever wanted to say to his Hyung.

"You think you're getting revenge. You think you're doing something great by playing around just like Eunsoo did to you. But you don't realize that it doesn't make you happy. It doesn't give you anything! I know it's a defense mechanism you created but it's a f*cking stupid one."

"Don't curse at me Jungkook."

"I will curse at you. F*ck you Hyung! You're a f*cking idiot. You deserved that slap. You absolutely f*cking deserved it." Jungkook cursed, slowly raising his voice. The alcohol in his system had finally taken absolute control of his body. Nothing could stop him now. Frantically, Seokjin tried to shush him looking around to see if he had disturbed any people. Jungkook went on.

"Think of this as a wake-up call. Yes, Eunsoo cheated on you. She didn't see how much you loved her. She was greedy and toxic but that doesn't mean every single person out there is trash. You need to come out of your little brooding corner inside your head, get out there, and realize that. And if you're not ready just focus on yourself. Not all of them are the same." He cried, struggling non-stop against Seokjin's efforts to calm him down. He had finally given up, instead choosing to listen to what his wasted friend had to tell him. "You need to face reality and move on. Staying holed up in your head is not going to help you."

Jungkook had finally calmed down after his long rant, breathing heavily from the effort he took. Slowly, he looked at Seokjin before he uttered softly. "Let go of your past Hyung."

Maybe it was that strange light that was shining from his eyes or maybe it was the way Jungkook had made direct eye contact with him, Seokjin felt that he was sober when he said that. He had completely meant it.

"It's time you let it go."
