"YOU FORGOT?!!"
Jaehwa screamed at her best friend who winced as her eardrums almost shattered from the impact.
"Come one now Jaehwa, this is why I didn't tell you. You wouldn't have come if you kne-"
"Of course, I wouldn't have." Jaehwa cried. "You know that he and I can't stand each other!"
Jieun held up her hand, "Yes, and that's exactly why. You are too hung up on the whole rivalry between the brothers that you're not seeing things. You need to learn how to separate your work and your private life from each other, Jae. That's the whole point of a retreat. To let go and have fun!"
"But- but-" Jieun shushed her. "No buts. You're doing this. You're already here so try to get along and have some fun. I won't take 'no' for an answer."
"I can't! This is not fair!" Jaehwa whined, trying her baby pout with her best friend who remained unaffected.
"You can. Now go on. Meet some new people. Seokjin must be arriving soon."
"Jieun-ieee!" She stomped her leg on the ground like a five-year-old and Jieun shook her head like an adamant mother. "I don't want to hear your excuses. Go. Shoo!"
"Hmph!" Jaehwa folded her hands begrudgingly, glaring at her luck. Why did Jieun have to do that? Couldn't she just let her have some peace of mind? And that jerk was arriving soon? Why does she need to know that?
Grumbling under her breath, Jaehwa made her way to the parking lot trying to see if there was anyone she knew. She didn't have to wait long before a familiar black Holo Magnus drove inside and smoothly came to a stop in the parking area. Jaehwa squinted her eyes, as she held a hand over her forehead shielding her eyes from the sun. Isn't that Seokjin's car?
The door opened and a man stepped out. The man looked familiar but for some reason, she couldn't tell why. However, she knew one thing for sure. He was handsome. No, she meant really handsome.
He had smooth dark ebony hair which blew up in the midday breeze and a loose black shirt was casually thrown over his torso. Long fingers slid over the car door as he slowly shut and locked the car and the Magnus pridely blinked its headlights. The man turned his head and Jaehwa breathed in a long breath. Wow...
She blinked as she suddenly saw the resemblance. Jaehwa realized for the first time that she had never really gotten to see his beauty in that way ever before. She was always so focused on their rivalry that she had never actually cared.
That's... Kim Seokjin?
He looks so different. Wait, WHAT?!!
Jaehwa rapidly blinked her eyes once again. What the hell was she thinking? She furiously shook her head. Focus Jaehwa, focus!
. . .
Not on him, you idiot!
Jaehwa blinked again. Her brain was malfunctioning. How could someone who looked so professional and sly, look so calm and at ease. It was impossible! That guy has to be his twin or something! And what was that weird feeling inside her stomach?
Seokjin had noticed her stare and upon meeting her eyes, he offered her a joyful smile and waved. What the-
He's coming towards me!!
Look away!
Straight up ignoring his greeting, Jaehwa turned her head to stare at the sky. This is dangerous. Too dangerous.
Too focused on her internal conflict, she didn't notice him walk up to her and position his head near her shoulders, and stare at the same place she was staring at. "What are you looking at?"
