The morning sun shone down on the Lakeside park the next day as Jaehwa gathered by the flower gardens after spending the night in the portable tents with Jieun. The sky was cloudless and everyone was slowly packing up their tents and organizing their suitcases ready to head home. The day was just cheery and bright and she was just so immersed in the nice view of the garden flowers that she had almost forgotten a little problem.
"Noona!"
Jaehwa felt herself freeze. Oh god no...
Forcing out a smile that she hoped appeared normal, she called, fake enthusiasm literally oozing from her words. "Hey, Lee Jaekyung-ssi!"
Jaehkyun's eyes sparkled like that of a little child presented with candy and she mentally felt herself cringe. She didn't know what it was about this guy but something gave her the creeps every time he was nearby. She was uncomfortable but not knowing the first thing about how to refuse people, she decided to put up with it. Sigh. Being famous has its downsides.
"Did you have a good night, Jae-"
Jaehwa was cut off when a certain wide shoulder smoothly slid in front of her, blocking her view of Jaekyung. Kim Seokjin smiled condescendingly down at the young man who looked to him in puzzlement. "Bonjour."
"Who...?" Jaekyung trailed off confused, narrowing his eyes at the elder man. Seokjin gasped looking gravely offended at him. "You don't know me? The fairy of Holo?"
Jaekyung eyebrows shot up in recognition. "Kim Seokjin-ssi?"
Seokjin nodded. "The one and only. Lee Jaekyung from the finance sector, right?"
Jaekyung looked surprised that Seokjin knew him but before he could say anything, he continued. "I have heard certain stories about you. I think we have a lot to talk about, Jaekyung-ssi."
"Sorry, I was just going to meet someone..." He began looking at Jaehwa who stood watching the exchange curiously.
"They can wait. Now come on." Seokjin threw his arm around the younger man's shoulder leading him away.
"B-but I have to-"
Seokjin leaned to the guy's ears. "You better come when I am asking you nicely, eh?" He murmured to him, too low for Jaehwa's ears to decipher and Jaekyung shut up.
"Good." He smiled patronizingly as he led the younger guy away from her sight.
Jaehwa stood watching as the pair disappeared off into the bushes. "Weird."

By about eleven everyone had gathered up by the gardens, exchanging their last greetings and goodbyes to each other before the retreat ended. No one quite wanted it to end. They had all enjoyed their time and though Jaehwa was tricked into coming to the retreat, she had to agree that it was fun. Playing games, making new friends, and spending time with her co-workers were actually nice. As she stood by the gardens looking around for Jieun, her eyes fell on a familiar form Jaekyung in the distance. Jaekyung saw her looking. Suddenly, he averted his eyes and walked away looking as if he were...scared?
Jaehwa scrunched her brows together. What was that? Did Jaekyung just avoid her? Seriously??
Her line of thought was suddenly interrupted by a cheerful cry as a smartphone came into her view. "Say cheese!"
"W-wha..." Before she could even register what was happening the owner of the deep falsetto voice had snapped a picture of them together.
"Hey, I was not ready!" Jaehwa protested, lunging for the phone and Jin held it out of her reach. "Beautiful..."
She paused. B-beautiful?
"How can I be so handsome?" He chimed, bursting into laughter a fit of laughter. This little- Jaehwa shot him a scowl before she wrenched the phone away from his grasp and examined the pictures for herself. A gasp left her mouth. "Wow..."
"What?"
Jaehwa didn't respond to him as she went on murmuring to herself. "Look at that jawline... those luscious lips, those eyes, and that nose?" She blew kisses to the picture. "Perfect."
"This is it... this is it. The definition of beauty." She whispered, mesmerized by what she was seeing. Jin's frown deepened. Who was she talking about? Obviously, not him. She wouldn't admit that even if someone held a gun to her head. Then...was it Jungkook? He had a few pictures of him on the phone. Had she gone that far into his gallery?
"What are you looking at..." Jin leaned over her shoulders trying to get a look at who she was commenting about and his eyebrows sunk. "That's your picture."
"Exactly!" She cried, catching him in his own game. Holding the phone up to him so that he could see the picture of her where she was standing among the flowers in the garden that morning, she questioned, "Why do you have a picture of me on your phone?"
"Ah, that...'' He looked around fumbling for an answer as she narrowed her eyes at him folding her hands. "That's...that's not what you think. Don't misunderstand, I was just-"
"I get it."
"You get it?"
She nodded as she suddenly cupped her face and batted her eyelashes at him, "You were taking pictures of flowers and you mistook me for one, didn't you?"
"Uh..." Jin didn't quite know what to say as he stared at her, slack-jawed at her reasoning. He didn't know if he should be amazed at her confidence or her stupidity. Flower? Her? He had to suppress a sneer. All of a sudden, he was yanked down by the collar of his shirt as Jaehwa cried, "Watch the birdie!"
He had just enough time to figure out what was happening before the click of the camera went off and the slightly caught-off guard expression of his face filled the screen along with the dorky smile of Jaehwa. Another click of the camera captured him in the midst of rolling his eyes with a Jaehwa who had her nose scrunched up. The next shot had them both making the dorkiest expressions at the camera and the next one had Jaehwa about to burst into laughter at the silly impression Jin was making at the camera.
At a distance, Jieun stood watching the scene her mouth agape. Shoving her arm to the side where Hoseok was, she ordered. "Hoseok, quick! Pinch me."
Hoseok looked taken aback by her request. "P-pinch you?"
"Pinch me. QUICK."
Hesitantly, he did as he was told. "Aah-ah-ah, Ooww! Not that hard!"
"I-I'm sorry." Ignoring his apology, Jieun looked back to the rival duo as she faintly whispered "This is not a dream..."
"Isn't that Jin Hyung and Han Jaehwa? So the rumors about them being ultimate enemies or something were fake?"
"No..." Jieun spoke, her dazed eyes fixed on the duo. "It is true."
"Really? They look like they are best friends or something."
"Exactly!" Jieun paused before she continued excitedly, "Does that mean my plan worked? Are they finally getting along?"
It sure looked like it. "Yes!! Woohoo!" Jieun fist-pumped the air in victory but unfortunately for Hoseok, he was standing nearby and her fist connected with his jaw. "Ouch!"
"Omigod! Hoseok, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! Are you okay?"
