Jaehwa woke up the next morning to the blinding sunlight that shone down on her face from a nearby window. Feeling quite sore all over her body from being in an awkward position for too long, she slowly opened her eyes. The unfamiliar surroundings gave her quite the scare for a moment but slowly her brain regained the memories and she let out a relieved sigh.

Jaehwa raised her arms above her head to stretch and the soft blanket that was covering her slid and fell onto the floor. A blanket? She frowned. She didn't quite remember covering herself with a blanket yesterday.

Seokjin. She looked towards the bed a couple of feet towards her left. He was not there.

"Seokjin?" She called out, but there was no reply. Getting up from the chair she looked around the room, calling out his name again. "Seokjin... -ssi?"

Again, there was only silence. The room was empty. She ventured into the other rooms. "Kim Seokjin-ssi, are you there?" It felt awkward to call out to him formally. She had gotten used to calling him a jerk or his full name in her head.

Jaehwa knocked on the bathroom door before she briefly peeked inside. He wasn't in there either. Where is he?

He was not in the hotel room. She walked up to her bag and fished around for her phone. Where's my phone? Jaehwa momentarily remembered throwing it on the carpet yesterday and she cursed her stupid self as she bent down and looked around. My phone, my precious phone! Where are you?!

She couldn't find it anywhere. Cursing her luck, she looked at the bedside table where the digital clock stood revealing the numbers, 11:45 am. Oh no. I'm late for the negotiation meeting. Sahan is going to kill me!

She rushed to the front door and attempted to open it. It was shut tight. She tried every single lock and it won't open. What the hell?! She had approximately 5 minutes to make it before the meeting started, that is, if she ran all the way without even taking care of her appearance.

Jaehwa tugged at the door as hard as she could and it wouldn't budge. What am I going to do?!

She had a meeting to attend. She had about 3 minutes to reach the meeting now. But the door was locked. Seokjin was nowhere to be found.

Slowly the puzzle pieces started falling into place. There was a click on her brain and then it hit her. It was a setup. That guy had tricked her. That fricking jerk!

"I WILL KILL HIM!"

Jaehwa cursed her entire being. Why did she believe him? How could she have believed him? He was a man who could manipulate unsuspecting people to bend his way. One who could charm the crowd with a single smile. Someone who knew how to use his attractive countenance to get what he wanted. An ultimate homme fatale.

How could she have ever believed him, especially after all she had seen.

"ARrrgh!" She screamed frustration coursing through her veins. She had underestimated him. Underestimated his powers. Sahan was right. He was dangerous.

It must have been 15 minutes or so when she finally heard the door lock open. Jaehwa rushed up from the chair ready to give him a piece of her mind. Wrenching the door open, she yelled, "NOW LOOK HERE YOU BAST-"

A room-keeping staff jumped back in surprise at the unexpected from the room. Clutching his chest, he looked back to the woman who had suddenly yelled at him. Jaehwa paused as she looked at him. Recovering from his surprise, the man straightened up. "Um, Ms.Han Jaehwa?"

Jaehwa nodded her head. The man sighed a little relieved when he finally confirmed that she was not going to attack him. "I was told to open the door and deliver this to you." He said as he held out a phone to her, looking quite bewildered at the random question.

My phone!

Jaehwa quickly snatched the phone from his hands and examined it, turning it left and right. Safe. My precious baby!

Not even bothering to owe an explanation to the poor room keeping staff or thank him for his service, Jaehwa rushed out to the meeting venue. I am so dead.

________

"Where were you Ms.Han?"

Sahan yelled, throwing a bunch of work papers in the air as glared at his secretary. Jaehwa tried hard not to flinch.

"Th-there was a situation." She bit out slowly, staring down at the floor.

"What situation? What could be possibly more important than this negotiation meeting?!" He shouted. Jaehwa had never seen him that angry before. Yes, she had been a little intolerable secretary for the past 4 years. Yes, she had managed to push several buttons of his over the past years. But never had she pushed this particular one before and Jaehwa had to admit, it was scary.

"Even Yoongi's secretary was there! What was so special about you?"

Oh. So he was there, was he?

"This was my chance. My chance to prove it to father and you!" Sahan jabbed a finger in her direction. "You had to go ahead and ruin it!"

"Now listen here Mr.Min, I didn't ruin anything!" Jaehwa shot back. She was sure it was not the cleverest to talk back to her boss but she just couldn't hold it in anymore.

"What did you say?"

"I did everything you told me to do! I had always done it without caring about the consequences. Even yesterday I-" Jaehwa had to pause. She was angry at herself. How could she have ever done something so low? That was so unlike her.

"You had everything you needed for the meeting. All you had to do was do your own part! Negotiate with them. It's not my job! And also it's not my fault that Yoongi had managed to do well in the meeting unlike you!" Jaehwa finished, breathing heavily.

"Wh-what..."

Sahan was so taken aback by her outburst that he was at loss for words. Jaehwa herself looked stunned at her behavior. What had she done?

She had blurted out everything that came to her mind. She had taken out all her frustration due to a certain prick on her boss. Oh my god. She was done for.

Not waiting to hear an answer, Jaehwa quickly rushed out of Sahan's place. She was not ready to face the consequences of her actions. Instead, she rushed out to the hallway and ran not caring about anything in the world. But suddenly, she came to a screeching halt when she spotted the familiar board-wide shoulders of a certain someone. Stomping up to the to-be-victim of her wrath, she yelled. "Kim Seokjin, you cunning b@stard!"

The broad wide-shouldered man paused. He slowly turned around, a wide grin gradually making its way across his face and he greeted.

"Han Jaehwa. Did you have a goodnight's sleep mon amour?"
