Jaehwa anxiously looked through her phone as the number of Sahan supporters dropped one by one. Tales of the new secretary were spreading far and wide along with very enthusiastic comments about how charming and well-mannered he was. Quite a lot of people had something to say. Jaehwa anxiously bit on her thumbs as she scrolled through the comments.
One particular Anonymous had a very creative description of his attractiveness and the strange magnetic effect he had on people. Jaehwa let out an amused snort. If only these people had put half the effort they put into writing those into their work...
The elevator she was currently on, came to stop on the third floor and the doors slid open, revealing a very handsome but annoying prick standing in the hallway waiting. Of course, it had to be him. Kim Seokjin stepped inside the elevator and upon seeing her he gave her an excited smile. Jaehwa held back a sneer.
"Bonjour, Mademoiselle Han!"
"Bone-jaw? How dare you bone-jaw me!" Jaehwa seethed. Seokjin looked a bit taken aback by her sudden outburst. "Why? What did I do?" He asked innocently.
"It was all on purpose, wasn't it?" She asked, pointing an accusatory finger at him.
"I don't understand what you mean." Seokjin pointed out meekly.
"The party! The wine! The dress you tore!" She listed impatiently, glaring at the latter who made an 'o' with his mouth as the realization dawned on him.
"And I apologized for it?" He replied, looking around a little worried.
"So... it wasn't on purpose?" She asked, softening her voice. Was she being impulsive again? Did she jump to conclusions a little too quickly?
"You are still mad about that incident," He said to himself with a hint of sadness dripping into his tone. A little pang tugged at something inside of her.
"I don't know how to make it up to you..." He began quietly. He looked around a bit before his eyes fell on the bottle of juice he had in his hand. Holding it out to her, he spoke, "I think we got off on the wrong foot. If you don't mind, can we start over?"
Now, if Jaehwa's life were a k-drama this would be the moment where the background music starts playing and the cherry blossom filter slowly starts showering over Seokjin's frame. Why was he being so nice? She was basically his enemy and he wanted to apologize for a misunderstanding? Was that how mature adults behaved? Because obviously, she didn't know since she wasn't one. She pursed her lips. She was impulsive and immature but she wasn't heartless. Gingerly, she took the juice bottle from him, igniting a brilliant smile upon his face. "Sure," She slowly replied to which Seokjin beamed even more brightly. Wow. Maybe I kinda do get what Jieun meant.
The elevator came to a stop on the seventh floor and the doors slid open. Seokjin stepped out with a slight bow towards her and she returned the bow with a small polite smile. "Have a nice day." She mumbled out. Jaehwa typically wouldn't trouble herself with the greetings but since she had misunderstood him, she felt as if that was the last thing she could do. The elevator door slowly inched to meet each other and it was about to close when four fingers appeared between them blocking its course. Kim Seokjin pushed the doors open as he looked towards Jaehwa with a smile.
"By the way," He began his voice low and breathy, "You were right."
Confusion spread across her features and Seokjin's smile widened.
"The party and your dress I ruined. It was on purpose." He smirked, "Bonne journée."
Jaehwa stood frozen as the doors closed once again. Slowly the gears in her brain started turning and she gasped, "WHAT?!"

"Mr. Min Sahan!"
Jaehwa burst inside the director's office throwing open the front door, not even bothering to knock on it. Sahan looked up from his work staggered but on realizing that it was only his secretary, he went back to his business. "What did I tell you about being professional Ms.Han?"
"That's not what's important right now!" She yelled as she walked up to his desk. Sahan sighed resignedly. He was too tired to deal with her. He had been dealing with her for five years. Somewhere along the way he had gotten used to the unprofessionalism and now did not even care to correct her. A moody teenager going through his rebellious phase would listen to him better than her.
"What is it?" He asked, not the least bit excited to hear her out.
"I have some revised documents for that presentation tomorrow," Jaehwa replied, holding out a pile of printed papers to him.
"But you already gave me one yesterday, what about that?" He asked as he eyed the print-outs skeptically.
"That's why I said 'revised'. You said we needed to step up our game, didn't you?" That piqued his interest.
"Yeah?"
"So this is it. We are going to show them how it's done. They are not going to stand a chance." Jaehwa said, cracking her knuckles, a strange fierce light shining from her eyes and Sahan had to smile at that dramatic declaration. He leaned back in his chair folding his hands, "I appreciate your enthusiasm, secretary."
"No problem," She said, and after a moment's delay, she added. "Sir."
Jaehwa smirked as she made her way out of the office. Kim Seokjin, you jerk! How dare you mess with me. I'll show you who's the boss.
Opening the bottle she had in her hand, she took a huge ferocious chug of the entire bottle, only to spit it back out in the same vigor.
Sspppprrrttt!
"What the heck is this?!" She exclaimed examining the bottle and realized that it was the one Seokjin had presented her earlier at the elevator. Ahjumma's Vinegar, 70 years of rich history?
"KIM SEOKJIN!"
