Chaos

Min Yoongi threw open the balcony doors to his hotel room and heaved in the fresh air.

What a beautiful day.

Yesterday was even more rewarding. He had successfully completed the negotiation and had impressed the third parties beyond measure. Even the Chairman had forgiven him for his tardiness yesterday. He smirked. His brother never stood a chance.

He was always trying too hard to best him and compete against him since their kindergarten days. Sahan had that insatiable desire to prove himself to the Chairman. That was not supposed to be a bad thing, except for the ways he used it. They were bad. He never found out the real reason behind his ineptitude and had always chosen to blame Yoongi for everything, taking every single chance to scorn him. The days when he could talk to him and try to make him understand the wrongs were long gone. So Yoongi let it be. It wasn't like he cared too much either. Sahan will learn his lesson when the time comes.

Right now, he just wanted to enjoy the pure satisfaction flooding his system. He took a sip from his steaming hot tea as he watched the greenery and flower gardens below. A little breeze came for a visit and it ruffled his hair before it went its way. Yoongi observed the flowers and the lush green grass. Even the cheesy laughter of some random couple who were running around in the garden below didn't annoy him like it usually did.

Yoongi took another sip of his tea as he watched the scene. His eyes squinted to see the couple better and the next second, he spat the tea out.

"Thrrruuupp!"

Coughing, he dabbed a napkin against his lips as he eyed the said couple.

"Seokjin hyung and Han Jaehwa?" He asked as he watched the pair run around the gardens chasing after each other without a care in the world.

Yoongi observed as Jaehwa ran after his secretary, waving a big stick around in the air. He winced as she suddenly slipped and fell face-first onto the ground. Seokjin, who had seen the fall, paused and shook his head disappointedly. "You're so stubborn. You don't know when to give up, do you?"

He walked up to her both his hands on his hips, watching her lay there scowling at him. "Now get up quickly before someone sees you. How embarrassing! Look, you have gotten dirt all over your dress. Why are you so clumsy?"

He held out a hand for her as he looked around to make sure that no one had seen her embarrassing fall, "Now get up, or do you want to keep lying there all day?"

Jaehwa shot him one final glare before she took his hands and got up dusting off her entire dress where clumps of dirt had gotten stuck. Seokjin picked out some stray leaves that had managed to get stuck on her hair as she dusted off her dress, smoothing the creases in it. He never expected her to suddenly grab his hair and pull it down with a triumphant cry, "Gotcha!"

"Arrrghhh," Jaehwa latched onto his hair, pulling it hard with all her strength. "You have been getting on my nerves from day one!" She cried.

"Let go of my hair!" Seokjin cried trying to free his innocent hair from the grasp of the evil witch.

"Ha! Not so fast- Aaaargh!" Jaehwa suddenly cried out in pain when Seokjin's hands grabbed onto her hair.

"How dare you touch me?" She cried, writhing in his grip to free herself all the while maintaining her grip on his hair.

"You grabbed my hair first!" Seokjin yelled back, equally struggling to free himself.

"Let my hair go, you jerk!"

"No. You let go first, you brat!"

"Let go!"

"You let go!"

Min Yoongi quietly watched the chaos unfold beneath him with his keen eyes from the balcony.

"Oh my god." He whispered into the wind.

Yoongi took another sip of his tea.

______________

Jaehwa turned around in her chair back in her secretary's desk, biting her thumbnails as Lee Jieun curiously watched her leaning against her desk. Occasionally, she would burst into a fit of giggles and then quite back down, her face turning into a scowl. Jieun had been standing there for almost ten minutes and her best friend had yet to notice her presence. She seriously wondered if the Tokyo air had damaged the few leftover brain cells of her beloved friend.

Tired of waiting, she slammed her palms on the desk making the latter jump up.

"Oh my god, you scared me!"

"Why are you laughing?" Jieun frowned at her friend for keeping something so hilarious from her. The question prompted another set of high-pitched giggles from Jaehwa. "What?" She asked again, getting impatient.

"Didn't you see my most favorite person in the world today?" She asked, biting down her lips to control her giggles.

"Me?"
"Nah, the other one," Jaehwa replied, shaking her head. Jieun pursed her lips wondering about the identity of this person and not soon after, her brows shot up.

"Kim Seokjin?" Jaehwa nodded her head vigorously. Jieun narrowed her eyes, "Perhaps... does it have something to do with the huge bump on his forehead that he was trying so hard to cover today?"

Jaehwa burst into another fit of loud laughter, clutching her stomach as she wheezed for air. Jieun cracked a silly smile. "So you were the culprit behind it."

Jaehwa nodded her head proudly, wiping tears of joy from her face. She shook her head, "Anyways, I was here to tell you about the retreat we were conducting this weekend. You're invited. We are going to the lakeside park near 11th street. Attendance is a must."

"A retreat? Who all will be there?"

Jieun looked away, suddenly clearing her throat as she coughed out, "Most of the people in the company group chat."

Jaehwa frowned at her friend's sudden coughing fit, but she decided to let it go.

She shouldn't have.

It wasn't until much later, at the very same retreat when everyone had gathered around the park introducing themselves to each other and waiting for the rest, that Jieun decided to drop the bomb.

"Oh, by the way, I forgot to tell you," Jieun spoke.

"Kim Seokjin's coming."
