Has the world always been this beautiful?
For if it were, he regretted that he never paid attention to it before. Because the world was so much more than what meets the eye and if you didn't know just how to look for the beauty of it, you'll miss out.
Winter was approaching Seoul and the autumn leaves littered the pathway on which he walked. A gust of wind would often make them slide across the way as if nature was parting the way for him and Seokjin would smile at the thought. There is so much to life if you know just how to look for it. There was so much beauty. Seokjin chuckled giddily. He had always known that he was multi-talented and today was the day he found yet another talent of his. Poetry. Maybe I should write some books.
He was walking beside a garden park, relishing in the fresher air and cool, happy atmosphere of it. The place was where he found his solace when he was tired of life, but today it was different. Because he wasn't there for solace. He was just there for a walk to reminisce about the good things he had missed out from being too locked up in his past. However far less beautiful than him, it was, life was still beautiful. He just didn't see it before.
Seokjin faded back to reality as a cool gust of wind blew through the park and that's when he saw the feminine form of the subject of his thoughts. She pushed the long strand of her hair away from her face from the wind as she stood by the railing gazing down at the garden pond nearby admiring her own reflection. A grin spread across his lips. It was time to finally face her.
Heaving in a resolute breath, Seokjin called out, "Han Jaehwa!!"
Jaehwa snapped back to reality at the mention of her name and her eyes searched the place for the source of the voice before it finally fell on him. She narrowed her eyes. She was about to open her mouth and ask him something when an arm fell over her shoulders and the deep husky voice of her employer spoke into her ears, "Are you ready?"
Jaehwa flinched at the sudden contact from her boss as she looked at him a little confused. Min Sahan's eyes drifted away from her face and landed on Seokjin's. "You? You're that secretary of my brother, aren't you?"
Seokjin's smile dropped but he quickly morphed his face to his usual professional look before anyone could catch on. "Yes, I am."
"What are you doing here?" Sahan raised an eyebrow in question pulling Jaehwa closer, who stiffened at the gesture.
"I was just passing by when I met my colleague here and I thought I'd say hello," Seokjin replied simply as he maintained eye contact. Sahan shrugged dismissively, "Well, if that's all... you may go ahead. You're kind of interrupting our date so if you would..." He trailed off suggestively, waiting for the latter to catch on the drift. Jaehwa snapped her head up to her employer seemingly about to say something when the grip on her shoulder strengthened and she fell silent. However, her eyes stayed wide in silent protest.
Seokjin's eyebrows shot up, "Oh! Oh my god! So you guys are..."
"Yes," Sahan stated firmly. "We're dating."
"Wow, I never knew... Well, I'm sorry for interrupting. Let me excuse myself from here real quick, and Ms.Han," Seokjin threw a brief glance her way, "I'll see you on Monday."
He didn't wait for a response as he turned around and walked off.
Jaehwa whirled around to face Sahan, opening her mouth to protest when a finger pressed against her lips and Sahan shushed her. Sahan's intense eyes bore into her indignant, chocolate brown ones and he spoke.
"Remember your promise, Han Jaehwa."
