She was halfway biting through the fingernail on her thumb and Jaehwa was yet to come up with an explanation for what she was thinking. How could she think that? Whether he was a little nicer or not, he would always remain her ultimate enemy. Some people are just not meant to get along. They're just born that way. Seokjin and her were such a pair. That was the reason they were such hostile enemies when there wasn't an actual reason for their enmity except for their jobs. But then why was she feeling weird all of sudden?

It wasn't the first time she had felt this strange feeling inside of her. It's been days. Jaehwa thought back to find an apparent trigger but she couldn't pinpoint one. There were too many instances. Getting up from her bed, she stomped inside her bathroom and turned to face the mirror on the wall. Jabbing a finger at her reflection, she asked. "What is wrong with you?"

Jaehwa stared scrutinizingly at her reflection as if she were trying to intimidate it. She didn't expect it to work.

The reflection in the mirror shifted as a goofy smile spread across its face.

"What is wrong with you?" The reflection parroted as she furrowed her eyebrows in contemplation. Jaehwa stood there in wait for an explanation totally ignoring the fact that she was now hallucinating about her reflection talking to her.

"Sweaty palms, sudden abnormal increases in body temperature, dilated pupils, increased heart rate, feeling nervous and constipated in the abdomen when a certain someone is near," The reflection listed off, unfolding a finger with each weird symptom Jaehwa had been experiencing with a smug look on its face. "Ahh, I wonder what it is..."

"I-is it some kind of disease?" Jaehwa asked, all of a sudden feeling quite concerned about herself. It had been a while since she had gone for her routine checkups. She had been so caught up in her work that she had kept postponing it and never really got a chance to check back on it.

The smirk of her reflection shifted and without warning, the whole thing shifted and morphed. Jaehwa gasped as the reflection changed to that of a familiar tall form of the man who was the root of her nightmares and the cause of her agony. The reflection of Kim Seokjin stood there looking up at the ceiling as he stroked his chin with his right hand, a thoughtful look on his face. Snapping his eyes back to her, he spoke. "Well... they say love is indeed a disease, ma chérie."

"W-what?" Jaehwa stumbled back staring flabbergasted at the reflection, her mouth hanging open.

Seokjin fanned himself rapidly with his hand, "Someone has a crush. Oh la la~" The wide smug grin stretched far wide across his lips as he cooed, "Aww, look at you blushing."

"I-I don't. Y-you're my enemy! My arch-nemesis! I-It doesn't make sense!" Jaehwa stuttered out, looking around vigorously, shaking her head. How ridiculous! She didn't have a crush on him! It's impossible! She'd rather go jump off a cliff.

"Ah, young love..." Flapping his hands, he dismissed her excuses, "It be like that." Folding his hands against his chest, he turned to face her as the cockiness in his grin seemed to increase with each second. "I say," He began placing a hand against his mouth as of he were to share the juiciest piece of a story with her, "Follow your heart~"

"Shut up," Jaehwa ordered as her fingers began to tremble and the meaning of her situation slowly set in. Seokjin, or rather her hallucination, didn't pay heed to her order. He sang. "Love is essential, Marriage is choice, All you have to do is go all with your heartbeat~"

"Shut up!"

"Tears are a bubble of break up, I'm not afraid of upcoming love, Amor fati~ Amor fati~ Amor fa-"

"I SAID SHUT UP!"

Jaehwa pulled down her hair and screamed, "AAAAAaaaaah!"

Sliding down the wall to the cold vinyl floor, she leaned her head against the wall and cried, "Why me? God, why me?"

"Jaehwa!"

I must ignore it. I must resist. I should never run into him.

"Han Jae-Jae~"

I must not give in to temptation. I must stay away from him at all costs.

"Little Jaehwa."

I must avoid it. I must forget that he even exists. I must never let my guard down-

"Jaehwa."

Jaehwa snapped back to reality from the internal monologue only to find that she was face to face with none other than the very same man she wanted to avoid and she screamed.

"OH MAN HOLY SHIET!"

Seokjin jumped back a few inches, startled. "Whoao!" Jaehwa's face flushed to a brilliant shade of tomato red as she pointed a finger at him and inquired, "W-what are you doing here?!"

"I was just checking up on you. You seem pretty out of it." Jin replied, eyeing her puzzled at her reaction. He also didn't forget a sneak in a teasing inquiry. "Did you get a good exercise yesterday?"

"You!" Jaehwa cried, "Leave me alone."

Seokjin stopped, taking a few minutes to assess her. It was kind of unusual for her to say that to him. Jaehwa was usually the type to yell 'bring it on!' in the face. Something felt weirdly out of place today. He, however, shook his head with the most infuriating self-satisfied smirk on his face. "Never."

"Just what the heck do you want then?" She cried. He was standing right there and her heart was beating crazily inside. Not a good sign. She must do something. This was even more dangerous than she had thought.

"Nothing really," Seokjin replied, shrugging. "I just happen to love seeing you so worked up early in the morning." As a demonstration, he began by pointing at her face, "Like your boiling red cheeks," He drawled, finding satisfaction in the way her cheeks reddened even more, taking that as a sign of her elevating anger. "Your angrily pouted lips," He listed, smirking deviously, watching her squirm under his gaze. "Your messed up hair," He added, pointing at her hair that appeared botched up from pulling on it due to frustration. He placed a hand to his heart, "It just gives me such immense pleasure to see you angr-"

"GET LOOOOST!!"

Jaehwa bellowed. The whole 17 floors of the Headquarters of Holo.Co shook from its impact. He swore the yell was louder than a volcanic eruption. His eardrums almost shattered. A few curious and startled employees peeked out from their rooms looking for the source of the commotion. Without sparing him a second glance, Jaehwa stomped off ignoring the stares of her peers as she went on her way.

"That gave me a heart attack." He whispered watching her form disappear into the distance. Shrugging, he skipped away, feeling quite content with the result.

"Whatever, it's fun."
