Hours have passed and I'm getting more comfortable with them. They're really nice and welcoming. I was afraid I wasn't, but I guess I shouldn't have make such assumptions
Sophia was already in her room. I guess she's just tired and wanted to rest well since we still have school tomorrow. I am currently in their living room, watching the television alone right now
"May I sit with you ?" A voice of a woman approached me
"Of course" I said with a smile
She sat down at the single couch next to me. Sophia's mom that is.
"Should I change the channel Mrs Kim ?" I asked
"It's alright. I don't mind" she said with a smile plastered onto her face.
It was gentle and calming.
I still feel awkward around her. Well, it's literally our first time meeting and I'm not even sure what I should be talking about
All I could thought of was Sophia. I... I don't know why...
"You did a great job on raising your daughter Sophia Mrs Kim" I blurted out and she turned to me
She laughed
"Not really. I feel like I'm not a good mother because of not being able to be by her side since I've been working a lot. I can't even spare some time for her" said her mother as she had that sad smile forming onto her lips
"Though... I'm just glad that she have grown up as a fine girl. She's not that open with both me and my husband so I get worried sometimes. I wonder how she is at school and all... After all, she isn't really the type to socialize" said her mother and honestly I felt bad
This must've disturbed her mind for a long time but she just didn't know how to bring it up to Sophia
