It's finally weekends and Joshua is hanging out with the boys today, so I want to take this chance to meet with Joshua's parents.

I just wanted to have a small talk with them that's all. Nothing important.

When I've arrived there, I felt quiet nervous since I can already tell that they'd probably lash out at me. After all, their perfect child have changed A LOT because of me.

Her family is there though. Which made me feel more nervous of course.

I dressed nicely at least.

I rang the doorbell and waited. When the door opened, it was Joshua's mother who opened the door. When she saw me, I knew she wanted to shoo me away though

"What do you want ? Joshua's not home" said his mother

"Oh, I know. It's you and your husband that I want to meet" I said to her

"For what ?" She asked as she raised her eyebrow

"Just a small talk" I replied

She was quite for a bit and invited me in. That was unexpected but okay.

I entered the house. She told me to sit by the couch so that's what I did. That's when his father came down to sit down on one of the couches.

I bowed my head, showing respect. As much as I barely even like these two, I have no reason to disrespect them.

Soon, his mother came down to sit next to her husband. Of course, by her face I could tell she wants me to leave as fast as possible.

"What do you want to talk about with us ?" his mother asked

I just put on a smile

"I just wanted to thank you for not kicking me out whenever I came by with Joshua. Despite knowing how much you two doesn't like it when I'm here, I really appreciate it that you two actually treated me well" I got straight to the point.

I don't want to stay here for too long either.

"Also, I'm sorry if I did something wrong to both of you. For someone to hate me to this extent, there must be a good reason behind it. So whatever it is, I am really sorry if I've hurted any of your feelings" I added

"So you're just going to apologize as if what you did wasn't BIG ?" his mom raised her eyebrow

"If you'd like to, please tell me what did I do to make you feel this way ?" I said calmly

"YOU literally turned my son AGAINST US, and you're just here saying SORRY ?? He have changed because of you and he's not even listening to any of us !" She yelled

"I didn't do anything to that. It was his decision to be himself and go on with HIS plan in life. I didn't interfere with any of it" I said calmly

She seemed furious

"Because of YOU, he might even leave us behind" she glared

I let out of a sigh. Just how controlling can a parent be ?? No wonder why he have always wanted to be at the mansion. I would've just ran off if I were him.

"Sir, Ma'am, I understood you wanted him to marry that girl. But have you even consider about his feelings ??? He have his dreams and someone he wants to be with. Isn't he your child ???" I said to them as I was quiet angry at this point

"It is our work to plan our son's life. You have no rights to interfere." his father spoke up and honestly that ticks me off

"No wonder why he have always wanted to go back home with me. Who knew, my parents are way more understanding than his own." I said as I stood up

"What did you say ?" his mother said in disbelief

"I said what I said and that's on period. Have a nice day ahead of you." I was about to leave but I turned around

"Give this letter to Joshua. That's the last thing I'd give to him before departing" I handed it to his mother

"This'll be our last time meeting each other for now. Though. Don't tell Joshua about this" I said to them and left the house.

My job is done, I can leave peacefully after this.
