A lot of times have passed huh. I wonder what they're doing now. More importantly, what is HE doing now.
I really thought I could move on from him since it has been years ever since I've left them. But... I guess it really wasn't a silly crush. I've had fallen for him and I couldn't forget about him.
But I'm sure he's living his bestest life now and have probably found the love of his life. I wish to see him once again
I wonder if he actually proceeded to study in L.A. instead of Korea. If he's studying on L.A., maybe I'd have like 1% possibility to meet him
Yup, I am currently in L.A. now. Just having a vacation since I'm on my semester break. I'm travelling alone of course. My sister's in Korea, visiting our parents. I'd visit them later since I wanted to travel for a bit.
It has been like 5 days in L.A. and it's enjoyable of course.
Today I've decided to drop by a café. Well, for some coffee. I'm a coffee addict so this is normal for me. I just felt like staying at the cafe for some meals so that's what I did.
As I was staring outside of the window, sipping onto my iced caramel latte, somebody called out my name
"Sophia ?"
I was surprised of course. Who could it be ??
I turned around and responded
"Yes ??"
That's when I felt like the time have stopped
There he is, standing right in front of me.
Both of us stared at each other for a few moments and I finally snapped out of it. It's really him. The real thing
"J-joshua ?" I stuttered as I'm still overwhelmed
"Oh uh... Mind if I sit here ?" He asked
"Y-yeah yeah of course ! Help y-yourself !" I stuttered again
It felt awkward for us since it really has been a long time ever since we've talked to each other. In that period of time, I didn't go back to Korea. It's my parents that went to visit us.
Despite being awkward, I started the conversation and eventually the awkwardness died down. I guess he have been living in such a stable life and I'm really happy when he said that.
He told me on how great life is in L.A. and he have made a bunch of new friends. Of course I listened to every single word that he said. He looked really excited too when telling me everything about it.
That's when I felt like asking him a question. I'm wondering if he has found someone that he love. I'm just... Curious.
"Shua" I called out
He hummed in respond
"Been years ever since we're apart from each other and I don't know much about your life other than what you've told me earlier" I said to him
"Have you found someone that you like ?? I mean it's been years. It's impossible if you don't right ??" I added
"Oh yes yes ! Of course. I really really wanted to introduce her to you ! She's really nice ! Wait, lemme see if I have a picture of her" said Joshua as he pulled out his phone excitedly
Of course, part of me is upset about it, but what exactly can I do
"Okay I found it !" he grinned
"Ooh, I wanna seeee" I said with a smile
He turned the screen of his camera towards me and I was surprised by it of course.
It was a selfie camera. And I knew well what he meant by that which caused my heart to beat faster and faster
"It's been years and I really thought I could move on from you. I guess I couldn't. That's why, I'm taking this chance to confess to you" said Joshua as he smiled warmly
"Of course, I do not expect you to give an answer" he chuckled
Oh gosh,,, This is seriously so sudden,,,,
"What about you ? Have you found any ?" He asked
"It's not someone new. I just couldn't move on from the guy that I've liked ever since our highschool year" I said calmly, not wanting to lose my cool
"Oh.." he sounded a bit disappointed
"I wanted to confess to him but... He have already did it before me. Not to mention the way he used the selfie camera to confess" I chuckled. Of course, implying to him
"Oh, how lucky of-- WAIT--- THAT LAST PART ??? IS IT WHAT I THINK IT IS ?!!" he looked at me in disbelief and I couldn't help but laugh
"You heard that right Joshua. I like you too" I chuckled
"Omg--- SOPH OMG--- I---" he was malfunctioning and it was cute
"Would you be my boyfriend then ?" I asked and he began to malfunction more. Gosh, he's more flustered than I am
"I-it's a y-yes" he said shyly
"I know it is" I laughed
Who knew, from pure admirement to something that's way more lovely and adoring. Who would've expect, from just admiring him to actually being someone that he loves.
I am lucky that all of these happened to me.
