The new doctor.

African Kids.

You wake up and tie your hair back. Alex then busts in your room while your changing. "What Alex?" you say. "The African kids are coming today y/n.." Alex says while sitting on the bed. You put on your scrubs and your scrub top. "Why?" you ask. "Your doing something good Alex!" you say. "Yeah yeah, whatever." Alex says. "Where'd you get the money?" you ask. "That's the thing.. I didn't." Alex says. "Alex!" you yell. "Oh my gosh!" you say. "Let's go, before I throw up." Alex says. You grab your bag and run into the kitchen. "Anybody need a ride?" you say. Everyone shakes their head. "Okay." you say while going to your car with Alex. You then drive to the hospital.

You then walk with Alex to get the charts of the African kids. "Give these out to people please y/n." Alex says. "Okay." you say. You then look at each chart. "Spina bifida?" you say. "This is for Derek." you say. You then walk to find Derek. "Alex's African kids are coming tonight, you have a patient with spina bifida." you say while handing Derek the chart. You then look at the next chart. "Heart condition?" you say. "For cardio." you say while walking to cardio. You hand them the chart. You look at the the next file. "This is for general." you say. You then run and give the chart to bailey. After you finish most of the charts there's the last one. "Damn it. For peds." you say. You walk to the peds floor and find Arizona. "Hey y/n." Arizona says. You slam the chart in her hands. "Alex Karevs African kids are coming tonight." you say while turning the other way. "Wait y/n!" Arizona says. You ignore her and keep walking.

It's night time and all of you are sitting at the nurses station. "They are here!" Alex says. "Are you okay?" you ask Alex. You then watch as he throws up. The interns then walk down the stairs. "Who's on my service?" you ask. Jo then walks over. "Me again." Jo says. "Okay cool. Let's go." you say. Y'all get in the elevator to the and down to the ER. You watch as Alex help some of the kids down. You take the baby from his hand. You read the name on the braclet. "Hello Miss Zola Limbani." you say. "Let's get Zola here to the peds floor." you say. You then hold Zola up in the air like simba while walking to the peds floor.

"Page Derek Shepherd." you tell Jo. Jo then goes to find Derek. You get to the peds floor and put Zola in a room. You write her name on the white board. She starts crying so you pick her back up. You then rock her until Derek comes. You hand the child to Derek. "Bye Derek." you say as you walk out. "Let's go Wilson." you say. You and Jo then walk to find a general surgery patient. "Look. Here's one." you say. You then grab the chart. "Hello Asha. How are you feeling?" you ask. Asha starts speaking another language.

"I'm just gonna feel your stomach today." you say. You slowly press your hands on her stomach when she says ouch. "Okay. I'm gonna take you for some scans." you say. Arizona then walks in. "What are you doing?" Arizona says. You ignore her. Jo then gets a wheel chair. "Dr. Johnson, what are you doing?" Arizona asks again. You then pick up Asha and place her in the wheelchair. You grab a blanket off her bed and place it over her legs. "Wilson, what are you guys doing?" Arizona asks. "Taking her up for scans." Jo says. You then push through Arizona and roll Asha in her wheelchair to CT. You help Asha up and lay her on the CT scan. "Try not to move." you tell Asha as you push the bed back.

You go in the other room and wait for the scans to pop up. Cristina and her intern then walk in. "Hey Cristina." you say. "Can we switch interns?" Cristina asks. "Who's your intern?" you ask. "Ross." Cristina says. "Hell no." you say. "Scans are up." Jo says. You look at the scans and gasp. "Oh my gosh. That thing is massive!" Cristina says. "It's on her bowel. Damn it!" you say. "What's wrong?" Jo asks. "If it's on her bowel it's most likely cancer. We have to treat it now." you say. "Call up for an OR and get Bailey." you say while getting up.

"Cristina get me a gurney!" you say. They roll a gurney in here and move the wheelchair. "Asha, you have a tumor on your bowel." you say while picking her up. "We have to get you to surgery." you say while putting her down. You put a hairnet on Asha as you roll her to the OR. You then start scrubbing in when Bailey walks in. "What do we got?" Bailey asks while starting to scrub. "Asha, age 13, tumor on her bowel. It's very big." you say. "Okay." Bailey says. You and Bailey finish scrubbing and put gloves on and start doing surgery. Bailey then removes the tumor and puts it in a bowl. "Take that up to path." Bailey tells you.

You take off your gown and hold the bowl with your gloves on. You then start walking up to PATH. You hand then the bowl with the tumor and wait. "Stage 3 pancreatic cancer." The path person says. "Damn it." you say. You then run down the hallway back to the OR. You grab a mask and put it over your face clearly out of breath. "It was stage 3, pancreatic cancer." you say. "How is she going to get chemo back in Africa?" Bailey sighs. "I heard Dr. Robbins is going to Africa because she earned some type of thing." Someone says. "Okay. Y/n, tell Robbins we have a kid with stage 3 cancer that will need radiation in Africa." Bailey says. "Bailey id rather you tell her." you say clearly uncomfortable. "Go." Bailey says while closing Asha up.

"Let's go Wilson." you tell Jo. She then comes out and follows you. "Okay. Me and Robbins aren't really cool right now. So your going to tell her about Asha, okay." you say. "Okay." Jo says. You and Jo then get to Arizona. Jo starts explaining the whole situation and you can tell Arizona is just staring at you. "Okay Wilson. Thank you." Arizona says. You and Jo then walk away. "Go do something. I'm going to check on the little baby Zola." you say. You then walk to Zola's room to see Derek and Meredith in there. "She's been in foster car since she was 2 months." Derek says to Meredith.

"Hey guys." you say. "Hey y/n." Meredith and Derek both say. "Can I hold her?" you ask Derek. He hands you Zola and you hold her. "Y/n, what do you say if and Meredith adopted Zola?" Derek says. "YOUR GOING TO ADOPT THIS ONE?" you say loudly. "Omg y/n. Your so loud." Meredith says. "I'm going to be an auntie!" you say while smiling. "It's not official yet. But we are thinking about it." Derek says. "How's your clinical trial going?" you ask Derek. "Fine." Derek says. "That's good." you say. You hold Zola up and start singing the Lion king song. You then give Zola back to Derek. "I'll see y'all back at the house." you say as you leave.

You then go check on Asha. "Y/n, you and Wilson can go home." Bailey says. "Okay." you say. You walk into the interns locker room to find Jo. "Bailey said go home." you say while walking back out to go to the residents lounge. You then put on your sweatpants and hoodie. You grab your keys and go into your car. You then get into the house. You walk upstairs and open your window. You then climb up the rope and lay on the roof.

Alex POV:

Alex is at the bar with Cristina clearly drunk. Owen then walks in and helps Cristina up. Alex takes a shot. "Meredith messed with the Alzheimer's trial." Alex says clearly drunk.

Back to your POV:

You get off the roof and go back into your room. You hear your phone ringing so you answer it. "Hello?" you say. "Johnson, this is Owen. Tell Derek to call me ASAP." Owen says. "Why?" you say. "Alex just informed me that Meredith messed with the Alzheimer's trial." Owen says. "Oh my god. Okay." you say while hanging up. You then hear Derek and Meredith come in the house. You see Derek walk up the stairs first as Meredith talks to Sadie. "Derek.." you say. "What's up y/n?" Derek asks. "Um." you say while looking Derek in the eyes. "Owen will tell you tomorrow." You say. Meredith then walks upstairs. "What's wrong?" Meredith asks. You and Derek both say nothing.

You run downstairs to see Sadie getting ready to lay down. You stare at her. You then snap out of it and go back to the kitchen. You hear a knock on the door. You go answer it. "What the hell do you want! You broke up with me!" you say. "I came to say goodbye." Arizona says. "I'm leaving for Africa tomorrow." Arizona says. "I don't care! Your not in my life anymore. GO AND NEVER COME BACK!" you say while slamming the door. You then open the door back. "Go to hell." you yell and you slam the door again. You walk upstairs and go into your room you slam your bedroom door.

You then hear talking outside your door. You open the door and it's Alex. You grab Alex's arm and pull him into your room. "Alex what the hell!" you whisper so Meredith won't hear you. "Meredith messed with the clinical trial?" you say. "She did. I saw her with an envelope." Alex says. He then falls asleep on the floor. You push him over so he's laying on your beanbag. "Damn it." you say. You then get in the bed and fall asleep.
