A week goes by. Destiny is still asleep. You fell asleep in the attendings lounge that night. You get up off the couch. You put your shoes back on and your white coat. You then go to the nursery. You put on your pink gown and sit my Koden's crib. "Hey Koden." you say trying to smile. You then pick him up and hold him. "Your mommy is still asleep but we will do everything to wake her up again." you say. "You look just like Destiny." you say as your voice cracks. Arizona then walks into nursery as your holding the baby. "Okay, y/n when I tell you this do not drop the baby." Arizona says.

"Is it about Destiny? What happened?" you say. "She started crashing a few minutes ago. Derek and Richard took her back into surgery to fix what they couldn't finish." Arizona says. You stand up and place the baby down in the crib. "Y/n." Arizona says. "What OR is she in?" you say. "Y/n, you know you can't be in the OR.." Arizona says. "What OR is she in Arizona." you say again. "1." Arizona says. You take of your gown and walk quickly to OR 1. You put on your scrub cap and grab a mask and walk right in. "Dr. Johnson, you can't be in here." Richard says. "I'm gonna stay." you say. "Y/n." Derek says.

"This is my sister on the table. I need to be with her." you say. "You know the rules Johnson, you can go to the gallery though." Richard says. "Now Johnson." Richard says. You take off your mask and leave out the OR. You walk up the stairs towards the gallery. You take a deep breath before you walk into the gallery. You get into the gallery and sit in the front and watch as Richard pulls out bloody lap pads out of Destiny's abdomen. You sit there tapping your leg and rubbing your fingers through your hair. You end up taking your hair out the ponytail and fluffing your hair out with your fingers. You look back up and flip your hair back.

You are stressing out so much. You look at the screen thats in the surgery room. "I can't find where this bleeding is coming from." Richard says suctioning all the blood from destiny's stomach. You get up and go towards the mic. "Did you check her colon." you say as your voice breaks. Richard looks up to see you standing there. "Her Colon seems to be good." Richard says. "Is it her cecum." you say. Richard checks. He puts his finger there and her blood pressure normalizes again. "It in fact was the cecum." Richard says. You take a deep breath. You swipe the front of your hair from in front of your face as you sit down.

A few minutes later you hear footsteps. "Y/n." Bailey says. You turn around to see Bailey. "What's up?" you say wiping your tears. "I know you probably don't want to be bothered but I have a patient." Bailey says. "Who?" you ask. "Chief Herrera." Bailey says. "Andy's dad? Is he okay?" you ask. "He's fine. I just need you to tell him that um, his cancer is back..." Bailey says. "And you can't do this why?" you say. "I was, but." Bailey says. "Never mind." you say while standing up. You and Bailey then walk to Chief Herrera's room. "Dr. Bailey! So am I cleared?" Pruitt says. "Your cancer is back." you say reading the chart. "Who are you? Pruitt asks. "I'm the person who saved your life when you collapsed at the firehouse." you say.

"Oh." Pruitt says. "I'm not doing chemo." Pruitt says. "Sir, you do know without chemo you will die?" Bailey says. "I'm old and dying again Bailey." Pruitt says. "With all do respect sir, take the damn chemo." you say. "My sister is currently fighting for her life after getting into a car accident. And if I'm being honest I have no idea if she's gonna make it. Do the chemo so you have more time with your family." you say handing bailey the chart. Your pager then goes off. You look at it and it's Arizona paging you. "I have to go." you say walking out of the room. You walk up to the peds floor and into Arizona's office. You knock on her door and then walk in. You close the door behind you and start crying. "What's wrong y/n!" Arizona says. "I'm not gonna learn how to live in a world without my sister next to me." you say while crying.

"I already lost my abuelo and Lexie. Lexie was my bestfriend and I couldn't save her Arizona. I feel helpless like I did in those woods." you say while crying. You finally take some deep breaths and wipe your face off. "Why did you page me?" you ask. Arizona stands up and wraps her arms around you. "I love you to the moon and back y/n Johnson. I will always be here for you no matter what." Arizona says. "I love you too Arizona Robbins." you say. You then push off Arizona and grin a little. "There's that beautiful smile." Arizona says putting her hand on your face. "I'm sorry I haven't been helping with Journey or Mariyah." you say.
