How To Save A Life.

A month goes by. You all are getting used to the family. You find out Amelia and Owen have something going on. Mariyah is taking her steps more better. Journey and Sofia are on summer break.

You wake up on living room couch with Sofia and Journey on the other side and Mariyah laying on your chest. You quietly stand up and lay Mariyah on her stomach of where you were sitting. You carefully put the blanket over her and kiss her forehead. You then fix the blanket where Sofia and Journey are laying and kiss them both on the forehead. It's your day off today. Arizona hasn't came home yet. It's been very humid and hot outside. You go upstairs and take a quick shower.

After you get out the shower you hair dry your hair and put it into a loose ponytail. You put on some shorts a crop top. You go to the edge of your bed and pull out a shoe box. You grab about 500 dollars from the box. You close the box and put it back. You put on your crocs and grab your keys. You quietly walk downstairs. You start opening the front door when Journey sits up. "Where are you going?" Journey says. "I'll be back in a hour. Watch Riyah and Sofia." you say. "Can you bring home some food then?" Journey says. "What do you want?" you whisper. "Chick Fil A." Journey says. "Text me what you want." you say. Journey lays back down.

You leave the house and get into your car. You start driving to Walmart. As your driving you call Alex. "Hello?" Alex says. You can tell he's tired. "Where are you?" you say. "At home, in the bed. I just got off a 18 hour shift." Alex says. "I need help." you say. "What the hell did you do?" Alex says. "I'm buying a little above ground pool for the kids. I'm heading to Walmart right now. I need your help setting it up." you say. "Your buying a pool for your kids?" Alex asks. "Well, I consider all the little kids in my life my kids Alex. So basically for everyone." you say. "I'll come get you after I get it. Love you." you say. "Whatever." Alex says. You hang up the phone and go into Walmart. You pick up the 400 dollar pool and a whole bunch of floaties.

After you pick everything up you get the pool loaded into the trunk. You then drive to chick fil a and get about 50 nuggets and a whole bunch of fries. You also get a whole bunch of chick fil a and Polynesian sauce. After you get the food you go to Alex's house. You honk the horn and about 10 minutes later Alex is running out in his swimsuit. "Took your ass long enough!" you say. "Whatever." Alex says. You then drive to Arizona's house. You park the car in the driveway. Arizona's car is in the garage. You open your trunk. You and Alex haul the box with the pool in it to the backyard. "Ima bring out some beers. Start opening the box please." you say. You go back to the car and grab the bag of food and go into the house. Journey and Sofia are watching tv. "I'm back!" you say. "Ooo. Food!" Sofia says as she gets up. Journey jumps around the couch. You pull out the plates. "Don't eat all the fries. Give Mariyah some too. And please do not look into the backyard and go back there." you say. "Why?" Journey says. "If you decide to look back there I'll take your electronics." you say while smiling. You go into the fridge and grab the case of beers from the fridge and go out into the back door.

Alex is already separating pieces of the pool. You hand him a cold beer. You both talk and set up the pool. It takes about 2 hours to finish the outline. "It's hot as hell." Alex complains. "You act like we never lived in Iowa before." you say wiping the sweat off your forehead. "We used to work on my grandfathers farm all the time." you say. "True." Alex says. You pull out your phone and call the fire station. "Who you calling?" Alex says. "The station." you say.

Someone then answers the phone. "Hello?" you say. "Station 19, how can I help you?" Dean says on the other end. "Hey! Can you send a fire truck to fill up a pool?" you say. "Sure. Address?" Dean says. You tell Dean your address and then turn your phone off. You put your phone back in your pocket. 20 minutes later a firetruck pulls up. "Hey you guys." you say. "Quietly this way." you say. Dean and Jack move the hose to the back. "Start filling her up!" Alex says loudly. "Alex, shut the hell up!" you say. "What the hell is going on!" Arizona yells walking back here. "Oo. Angry girlfriend." Alex says. You run over to Arizona and walk the other way.
