Mudslide.

You wake up to see Arizona not next to you. You hear the rain slamming on the roof. You roll over and grab your phone. "We need help at the hospital. Come in if you can make it." The text from Jackson says. You sit up and get out the bed. You look in the drawer and grab a bra and some underwear. You put them on. You throw on some sweats and a hoodie. You tie your hair up and put it under your hood. You grab your phone and put it in your pocket.

You go downstairs and grab your keys. You walk outside when the rain starts pushing you back in. You quickly close the door. "How the hell am I supposed to get to my car." you say to yourself. You open the door again. You force yourself outside and shut the door behind you. You lock the door with your keys and run to your car. You get in and take your hood off. You then drive to the hospital. You park the car and put all of your things in your pocket. You then run into the hospital and go to the attending lounge. "Johnson, your back?" Bailey says as you walk in. "Hi Bailey!" you say taking your hoodie off. You put your things in the empty cubby. You go into the little scrub room and grab you a pair of scrubs.

You change into your scrubs. You hang your jacket up. You grab the pager from the charging station. You put your pager in your back pocket and go to the ER. The ER is quiet. You walk over to Jackson and Alex sitting at the desk. "You called me in for what?" you ask Jackson. "It's raining. There's gonna be some type of trauma." Jackson says. "Derek is stuck with the kids and Amelia is in surgery and you and Nelson are the only other Neuro attendings." Jackson says. "You made me get out of bed for a quiet day." you say. "AHT AHT! YOU SAID THE Q WORD." Alex says.

"It's a QUIET DAY!" you say again. There's then a few silence. "Nothing happened." you say. A few seconds later the phone starts ringing. "Look what you did." Alex says. "It's probably nothing." you say. Jackson picks up the phone. "Mhm. Yea. Yes. Okay." Jackson says on the phone. He then hangs up the phone. "Mudslide. Over 20 victims and still counting." Jackson says. "Oh." you say. "That's what we get for saying the q word." Alex says. The Er starts shuffling around and people are getting it together. You put your hair up and put on your trauma gown and gloves on.

You hand Alex and Jackson their trauma gowns. You stand outside under the little roof as the rain taps the ground. Alex and Jackson then walk outside. "Ambulance is 2 minutes out." Jackson says. 2 minutes later the ambulance. "What do we got?" Jackson says as he opens the ambulance. "Jane Doe, about 30. Serious arm trauma." The ET says. "I'll take her." you say. You roll the gurney into the ER. You help move her to one of the ER gurneys.

You look at the arm womb. You clean it out and stuff it with gauze. You take out your light and flash it in her eyes. "Reactive." you say. You walk to the other side of the bed when you slip and fall on your butt. "Shit." you say. "Are you okay y/n?" Alex says checking someone right next to you. "I'm fine." you say standing up. You look to see what you slipped on and it's a trail of blood. "Where did this blood come from?" you say. Alex shrugs his shoulders and it's just loud talking. You look around to see if anyone is bleeding. "Y/n, it's your patient." Alex says pointing towards her. You lift up the sheets of your patient to see blood all over the bed. "She's pregnant." you say.

You check in between her legs. "Alex,this baby is coming out.. like right now." you say. "Someone page Robbins!" Alex yells. You change your gloves and hold the baby's head steady. "I can feel the head Alex." you say starting to freak out. "Y/n. Keep your hand still." Alex says. "We have to get to the OR." Alex says. "Robbins will meet us up there." Alex says. You hop on the gurney and Alex pushes you both into the elevator. "Y/n, you don't look so well." Alex says. "I have my hand in this lady's vagina holding her babies head. No I'm not okay Alex." you say. You and Alex then get to the OR.

Alex puts a scrub cap and a gown on you. Arizona then comes in. "Hey Robbins. How exactly are we gonna do this?" you say. "We are gonna push medicine to wake her up and we are gonna get her to push." Arizona says. 5 minutes later the mom starts waking up. "Hi. Hello. Could you tell us your name?" Arizona says trying to calm the mom down. "I-is my baby okay!" the mom says freaking out. "Your baby is fine, we need you to push. But could you also tell us your name?" Arizona says. "Journey. Journey Pepper." the girl says. "I-I'm only 14. Please save my baby." the girl says. "Y/n slowly take your hand out." Arizona says. You slowly take your hand out of Journey.

"Okay Journey, I need you to push." Arizona says. "I want my mom." Journey says starting to cry. You take off your gown and your gloves. You sit on the chair next to Journey and grab your hand. "I was here when you came in. I won't leave your side. I promise." you tell Journey. "Okay Journey, push." Arizona says. "Big push." you say. Journey squeezes your hand tightly as she pushes. "Owwwwww!" Journey says. "Your doing good Journey." you say. "Push again Journey." Arizona says. "OWEWWWWEEEEE!" Journey yells as she pushes.

"I can see the head!" you say. "One more push. Big push!" Arizona says. Journey pushes one more time damn near breaking your hand. The baby comes out crying. "It's a girl." Arizona says wrapping the baby in a blanket. "She's so beautiful." Journey says as she holds the baby in her hand. You then look at Journeys hand. "It's blue." you say. "Okay everyone we need to move now!" you yell. Arizona takes the baby from Journey. "Wait what's happening?" Journey says. "We have to put you under to fix your arm. You cut it during the mud slide." you say. "'My baby!" Journey says. "What's her name?" you say. "Mariyah. Her name is Mariyah Rain." Journey says as we push the table back. "Okay, I'll keep a eye on Mariyah." you say. They then put Journey under anesthesia and Jackson comes in.

You leave and slowly walk to the nursery. You get to the nursery and stand outside looking at the babies. Alex then comes up to you. "Is the baby okay?" Alex says. "Yeah." you say. "Now about our rules. You didn't follow them." Alex says. "Alexander. I  had mind blowing sex. I'm sorry I couldn't reply to your texts." you say. "Whatever." Alex says. "Ima go back to the ER to help out." you say. You walk down to the ER. "Stitches in bed 5 Johnson." Jackson says. You walk over and grab the chart and go to bed 5.

You put your gloves on and sit down. "Hello, I'm Dr. Johnson and I'll be helping doing your sutures." you say. "Thanks." Jack says. "You look familiar, have we met ?" you ask. "I don't think so." Jack says. "This is gonna sting a bit." you say. You take the needle and stab it around Jack's wound. You then take the sutures and get it together. You stick one end of the suture through his skin and start suturing. You start finishing the last few sutures. You wrap his hand up. "Your gonna have to come back in a few days so I can remove the sutures." you say. "So I just see you?" Jack says. "Yep. Or you go to the clinic." you say.

"Okay." Jack says. You write a doctors note and hand him to Jack. "Wait I do remember you! You work at the station with Vic and Andy." you say. "Wait your y/n. The doctor." Jack says. "That's me." you say taking your gloves off. "They would not stop talking about you. I'll tell them your back." Jack says. You show Jack out and then go back into the ER. "That's all for now. Go sleep." Jackson says. "Thank you lord." you say. You go up to the residents lounge. Alex is already laying down on the couch. You push Alex's legs over and lay the opposite way of him.

You then fall asleep.
